I turned to see it was Ronald Weasley.

"Errrr...Ron..?" I raised an eyebrow.

He looked a bit surprised. "Yes?"

"Sorry, but no..do you even know who I am?" I turned to Ginny for her help, she just looked helpless.

"No. Hey sis, you look nice. How do you know her?"

"Oh...well... I've known-" I sent her a glare and shook my head. "I just met her."

I sent her a grateful smile.

"Anyways, have you seen Hermione? I've been looking for her,"

"No," Ginny answered."Hey! Look! Isn't that Lavender?"

Sorry to all those who hate Lavender...

Ron turned. "Oh yes! It is! Well I'm sorry, what ever your name is, I have to go," and then he walked off to Lavender. I heard her yell Won, Won.

"He's still a jerk like always," I said.

"Yeah,"

"And Lavender can't even pronounce his name right!" We both laughed.

"You two look gorgeous!" I heard a man's voice say, it sounded familiar.

I turned, it was Malfoy, he was standing next to Blaise.

"Thanks, Malfoy," I said.

"Your welcome," he said, politely.

"May I have this dance?" He asked me.

"Oh...umm..." I looked around. Why not? "Sure,"

He smiled. He took my hand and led me out to the dance floor. We danced in silence for a few minutes before he said. "Do you think we could start over and be friends?"

"Maybe," I answered.

"Maybe?"

"Maybe," I said again.

He smiles. I smile back.

We dance for a little bit longer and then I realized Ginny is dancing with my brother.

"Draco?" I said.

"Yes, Amber?" He said.

"Look over there," I nodded my head at my friends direction. Draco looks over, his eyes widened.

"No!" He said shocked, little bit over dramatic.

I laugh at his reaction, he laughs too.

"So... how's your summer holidays been?" I ask him.

"Ehhh, let's just say not my best," he gave me a weak smile.

"Oh? Why is that?" I ask.

"Well, you know, my father being in Azkaban, and people stare at me where ever I go...so I don't really leave the house..."

"Oh, I'm sorry," I said. We walked over to a table and sat down next to each other and watched others dance.

"Don't worry about it, Amber, I'm good,"

"Uh-huh,"

"What?! You don't believe me?!" He said with a hurt look.

"Your words not mine," I shrugged. I looked at the clock, it's around 6:30. "Oh, man! My mum's going to introduce-"

"Welcome!" Everyone turned towards my mother.

"Great..." I muttered to Malfoy. "It was supposed to be at 7!"
