The delectable smack of her lips against his skin had rippled through the gentle pitter patter of the rain. Carefully, seemingly dripping with uncertainty, her gaze had chased after the remnants of their beautiful exchange. Her fingers following suit as she had gently traced every spec of her fading lipstick down the slope of his neck. Contrary to her trembling touch, each shade had betrayed the certainty of every kiss.

Therefore, pulling her away as memories of every push, had pulled him closer.

Their noses meeting in a gentle bump of whispered smiles and careful giggles, "You're too beautiful for your own good, Kim Taehyung."

In a gentle yet firm touch, her palm had kept him away from her. His back pressing into the leather of her couch as she had simply let her fingers linger across the slope of his collarbones. Just as carefully as her gaze along the masterpiece that she had created on his face. A pure, raw and unexplainable emotion dripping from her gaze as she had ever so slowly cocked her head to the side.

"Were I not beautiful, we would have never met."

All because of his mesmerizing smile.

"This is the part where you tell me that I'm more beautiful, Kim Taehyung," she had softly chided him.

"Why would I lie?" He had softly teased against her scoff.

"To make me smile," she had insisted.

"You're already smiling."

Indeed, her smile had been undeniable.

So much so, that Taehyung had only been able to reach forward. His fingers lovingly cradling her cheek as she had leaned into his touch. Her smile softening as he had gently brushed his thumb across the slope of her cheek. Slightly shifting to his side, he had savored the slight tint to her cheeks as she had slowly closed her eyes. A picture of innocence and serenity, she had bared it all for him without a moment's hesitation.

So much so, that in that second of tangible vulnerability, Taehyung had found himself falling.

Slowly, yet all at once.

As though it had been the first day.

Truth be told, there had been times where he had wholeheartedly denied his feelings for this world-renowned photographer. There had been times where had had convinced himself that these feelings in chest had been synonymous with their mesmerizing synergy as seen in their pictorials.

There truly had been.

Yet, all it took were moments like these.

Preciously benign yet undoubtedly poignant.

All it took was her mere presence to have him undone.

Her giggles, as delectable as the sound of her shutter, creeping to every corner of his heart and nestling itself beyond repair. So much so, that a world without her had been unfathomable.

A world where her mere voice would not set him alight.

A word where her mere smile would not color his everything.

A world where her mere touch would not leave him breathless and needing more.

A world before her.

"Do you not have work today?"

Taehyung's words had fallen to a soft whisper as he had looked down at his empty hand.

Though her warmth had lingered across his skin, he had had to raise his gaze to find her again. Her back almost calling out to him as he had found her in the corner of the living room, her fingers tracing her bookshelves, "Why would I work on Valentine's day?"
