It's funny how in split of seconds something unimaginable changed.
How something you'd never had the thought of happening, happened. How someone who you'd never thought of leaving, left. And how someone you'd never thought of loving, became your life.
Back in the days, it was really romantic as people would describe it. They said that their love was there. They said timing, destiny and all the other ingredients blended well.
They were a perfect couple indeed. Both rising and becoming really famous stars. Getting well-known both individually and as a love team, in movies, and teleseryes. Everything was falling into place for him and for her. But one ingredient they weren't sure of was missing, and it started all the trouble.

"Dawn, sunod na yung scene mo." Her manager woke her up. Yes, it was her break. She slept the whole time because she arrived late last night and didn't get the chance to sleep because she has to shoot early in the morning. She had her make-up on and her hairstylist did her job while she was sleeping. Sounds impossible, but for her it wasn't.
Dawn watched as Fredo (Gerald) and Betty (Andi) exchanged lines. It was their "break-up" scene. Dawn was practicing her lines when... "Betty, bata pa tayo. Marami ka pang makikita dyan na mas magmamahal sa'yo.." And she was paralyzed. Partly, by the performance of Ge but mostly because of the line. It hit her. She remembered....
//1993//
It was just an ordinary day but Dawn planned to surprise him by bulging into his condo with cake and balloons early in the morning. She smiled thinking how he'll react, how he would be totally surprised. She was about to touch the door knob when she heard something. Moans and pleas. Getting louder and louder. She didn't hesitate and opened the door. And she didn't like what she saw.
"He promised.. And I fell for it again. Stupid. Stupid." Dawn thought as tears started to fall. She lost balance and broke the vase on the table. She was hurt. Both emotionally and physically.
And Richard saw... "Mahal ko..... Rachel.."
"Mahal ko? Nakakaya mo pa talagang sabihin yan? Minahal mo ba talaga ako?"
She was about to leave but Richard stopped her. "Wait, let me explain." "Explain what? Alam mo, pumunta ako dito sa condo mo para surpresahin ka. Eto oh, may dala pa nga akong cake e. Pero mukhang may dessert ka na..... ulit." She turned away and slammed the door in front of him. He knew what she meant and he knew what will happen next. "Sht. Richard, ang tanga tanga mo. Ang tanga tanga mo."
*********
She had seen this before. Not once, not twice but many more times. She was tired. Yes, she loves him so much but she had enough. "Alam mo Dawn, napapagod din ang puso. Wag mong hayaang mamatay ang puso mo sa pagod." She said to herself.
She don't have the courage to talk to him or to even face him. So she wrote what she felt.
"Richard,
Was I not enough?
May mahahanap pa tayong mas magmamahal satin.........
Mahal kita at alam kong patuloy kitang mamahalin.

It was also their break-up but it was harder. Especially because it was something real.
Someone she lost..
Something she gave-up..
Something that happened.. A long long time ago.She was near to crying. But then she got back to her senses. "It's just one line from Dyesebel, Dawn. Stop bringing the past back." She reminded herself.
"It was just make-believe."
