this is one of my favorite one-shots i've ever written and it was kind of refreshing to edit it━ oh my, i still love nishinoya and his little dumbass. also i don't know why i always edit on midnight, don't ask.

Sometimes, the sweet (h/c) haired boy was seen sitting on benches at the Karasuno gym. He was waiting for his big brother, Daichi Sawamura, to finish his practice, so they could both safely walk home together. That boy ━ which everyone later on learned was named (name) Sawamura ━ caught Noya's attention. The libero wasn't the best at being subtle and one time, he almost went to question him why he always stared at the ground during their practice.

But that was rude, too rude if he could be honest, so he decided to ask Daichi instead, not before grinning and waving at the beautiful Shimizu. The boy tapped his captain's shoulder, as the other stopped packing his water bottle and looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Uh- um, I wanted to ask you something," he started and placed his jacket on his shoulder, giving a small glance at the (h/c) haired boy and then at the older Sawamura brother. "Why is your little brother... always looking down? Like, he has never seen you score a point or... you get what I mean!" he trailed off and moved his hands to make motions, hoping he hadn't offended his senior.

Daichi bit his bottom lip as he let out a sigh, making Noya's eyes go wide, waiting for the answer like a five-year-old for the first magic trick of his life. Soon the smaller boy realized that Daichi's expression looked a little upset, which made him gulp, wondering if he had asked anything too personal. Was he mean? Did he end up saying something offensive?

"He's blind."

Yuu's jaw dropped and his eyes went wide. How was such a cute and happy boy always smiling, even if he didn't see what Nishinoya could see? The glory of volleyball, the sight of the ball coming in impact with his hands, the sun setting after the afternoon practice. And also, how was he able to find his way to the gym all these times? So, that's why he always waited for Daichi. To make sure nothing bad happens to him when he returns home, he assumed at least.

"Ah- oh... I didn't know." Yuu said the obvious as he looked down and shook his head. He couldn't really apologize for asking and saying 'sorry' would sound pitiful. Looking at the boy who spoke with Kiyoko, he noticed Daichi also focusing on the sight, seeing the smile the boy had. He didn't know why, but it made him frown a little.

"You know..." he said and Yuu's attention went back to the Captain. "He doesn't exactly have any friends, he's a little introverted. Just... us, but we don't actually hang out with him. So━" he was cut off by Yuu raising his hand in the air with absolute confidence.
