Jane hadn't left her apartment in weeks, her boss had now told her if she doesn't come in soon she'll be fired. Yet Jane didn't dare to leave her house. She would fall asleep at night to then wake in the morning wearing clothes she didn't remember putting on. Strange things where happening to her and she didn't know what, but the one thing that scared her the most from awaking this morning was blood. She found blood on her living room floor, she knew it was blood as it was a thick metallic liquid.
She has been scrubbing the dark liquid from the floor for hours, yet the stain would not rid. Frustrated she sat looking at the red stain, she would have to get a new carpet, or maybe she could move things around. Put the sofa over the top of it so no one would know, or she could even say it's just red wine and hope no one thinks otherwise. However one thing had skipped her mind and that was the fact of who's blood was this, hers? No, it can't be. Checking herself over she found small blood drops on her face and some on her dress. Yet no wounds to show for it. It wasn't her blood. Who's was it then?
Pacing back and forth Jane was starting to panic, she had moved a few things about her house covering the dark red stain. She still wasn't sure about who's blood it was or how it even got there. Only thought that had come to mind is that it's linked to the strange things that had been happening to her lately, the waking up with clothing she didn't know she had, not to mention the rather large knife that was in her sink. She's heard some pretty creepy things about sleep walking but this was another level, changing clothes finding weird stains on her floor, the knife in her sink she's never seen before. Maybe she should see a doctor but how would she explain the blood, they might just think she's insane.
Maybe she should call zalgo, maybe he could help. Of course she couldn't just pick up her phone and call the guy, so maybe not the best idea. Who could she call? Picking up her phone she saw her bosses number show up, this will be the call if she's fired she knew that. She did love that job, but she was so scared to go, the person that follows her knows where she works. But then again they do already know where's she lives too. Jane took the phone to her ear to hear her bosses voice on the other side. The phone call was short, her boss didn't sound pleased that she has missed a good 3 weeks of work. Now she has to find a new job elsewhere.
As much as it pains her to do so, Jane knew she had to pay her rent very soon. She had little money left and it will not be enough for rent. Jane fixed herself up make sure she looked good, she needed a new job and it was going to be hard when they ask why she was fired. She would have to tell them the truth, they do check up on this stuff.
Hours had passed not a job in sight that she was interested in, maybe she should hit the streets to see if there is anything near by. Yes she has to leave the house, yes she was scared of the person that seems to follow her but they haven't made a move yet. Maybe they wont, maybe they will but that's a risk Jane will have to take. She does need to keep this place. Grabbing her large black coat she pulled it on over her outfit, leaving her apartment.
Taking a nervous step into the outside world Jane took in her surrounding, looking for anyone that didn't look right. She saw no hooded person around and made her way into the streets.
No luck.
She couldn't find anything in shop windows, Jane was ready to give up. "Hey, Black haired girl" Jane whipped around knowing they where taking to her, she was the only one around. "Er, yeah?" Jane didn't walk any closer, she wasn't risking anything. "Look, I just lost one of my girl tonight. I've seen you a few times walk this street, I was wounding if you could help me out" The man came closer to Jane. "Look buddy, I'm not a hooker or call girl. I'm sorry you lost your girlfriend but I cant help you" Jane went to turn away from the man. "Nah I didn't mean that. Look hear me out then say yes or no okay?" The man looked desperate. Jane waited, curious to see why the man was so desperate. "Okay, that girl was not my girlfriend, she worked for me. I'm the boss of the neon strip club, She worked the bar and she was my best waitress. She'd been having problems at home so I took her in she was like my own." "Then why did she just leave you?" Jane did want to know where this was going.
"Her boyfriend pulled her out, made her quit. He's never been the nicest guy and he hated that she worked there. He was funny about any guy that said one letter to her never mind word. Look I just need a new bar maid and waitress, I've seen the outfit you where when you walk down here and you looked like you would fit right in."
"Outfit?" Jane didn't understand what she is wearing now is what she would normally wear plus she doesn't really walk down here often and she hasn't even left the house in weeks. "Yeah that black dress, short but not to short, long black heeled boots. That was you wasn't it? If not then I'm sorry and you can go on your way" The dress he was describing, that's the dress Jane would wake up in some days. "No yeah that was me sorry, my mind has been everywhere lately as I did lose my job" Jane wasn't sure if she should say about losing her last job but he would of checked away.
"Great, start tomorrow at 12pm?" He looked hopeful. "Er yeah sure, do I just wear that dress and boots again?" "Yep, thank you so much for this." and with that he went back inside his club, Jane still didn't understand about her late night adventures but it landed her a job, yes at the strip club but it was money, money that she needed.
