"so, how'd you learn to cook so well? my god, you're amazing!" christian had wanted to start a bit of conversation even if things would become awkward. "i-uh, i'm not that good actually, only korean food, i guess? my parents ran a korean restaurant when i was growing up." lexah's nervousness was quite evident, to her atleast, with her voice starting to get shaky, and her small stutters. aleco obviously could notice when her best friend was awkward, so she started conversation.
"so, what do you guys do?" aleco asked in a cheery (maybe overly cheery) voice. "oh, us? dabin is a rapper, i direct his videos." christian spoke up a bit, feeling social. lexah caught another bit of that australian accent. "yeah, i could show you some of our work. we have other people on the dpr team, but they're staying in other places around." dabin stepped into the conversation. at this point, lexah was the odd one out. she wasn't the most social in situations like this, and it was her downfall. so, she decided to take her chance.
"oh! that'd be great, i love listening to new music, and pretty visuals add on to the beauty of everything." lexah gave her two cents, she hoped the other three socials would carry the conversation. "maybe after we finish eating, dabin and i could show you two?" christian smiled, and lexah returned a small one back. "sure!"
after the four of them finished eating, they all made their way to the spacious in-home theatre, ready to look at christian's visuals and listen to dabin's music. they pulled up "martini blue". lexah and aleco melted at the beauty of the combination of the visuals & music. lexah was mesmerized by the beautiful camera angles. she felt like she had a knack for recognizing beautiful things. beautiful things like the views from the musical video. beautiful things like the flow of dabin's voice and the beat of the song. beautiful things like christian yu. it was already the first day, and she was falling. her hopeless romantic self was jumping out, and it was practically out of her control. she was going to fall for christian yu either way
