Chapter 20

Unknown POV

"She took the bait, now let's see if she'll fall for the trap." 

A deep rumble echoes through the small room, "Oh, she will, don't you worry. Her dearest friend just disappeared, she'll fall in the trap no problem."

Anna's POV

She shouldn't be alone for this long. Something is up. I go down stairs to her room and gently knock on the door.

"Ivy? Are you in there?" I whisper.

No response.

I jiggle the handle and its locked.

I knock harder, "Ivy? It's Anna, open up."

Still no response.

I run upstairs and, as fast as i can i run out the front door and race around to her window. Sure enough, it's open. I climb through as fast as possible and i quickly search her room for any sign of where she is. 

In my haste, i fail to notice that the adults chased me and we following me to see what was wrong. They knock on the door from the outside and i quickly unlock it.

She is such an idiot.

She is so stupid.

She is crazy and she is my best friend and will always protect her friends. 

And i failed to notice she was gone. Who am i to call myself her best friend?

I look around while he adults freak out and i see a piece of paper hiding behind her Joe Sugg x Caspar Lee poster in her closet. I open it up,

"Anna,

Its ok, i know that you're probably freaking out right now, but i'm ok. I have to find Ethan. He's like my brother and i can't sit around and wonder what my dad is doing to him.

You're a great friend and i'll be back as soon as i can. You know how to find me and what to do in tense situations. 

However, i need you to get the cops and tell them that i'm missing. Tell them my dad took me and another kid. They'll recognize my name because of my dad's past offenses and they'll know where to look.

Also, tell Joe and Caspar that i love them and that i'm sorry i left and to please not ground me but that i had to find Ethan. Tell them i'll be home as soon as i can.
