cough, cough
Another petal fell to the ground.
wheeze, cough, cough
A whole flower flew out from his mouth.
"Nick, you okay in there?" The darker male asked from the other side.
The smaller brunette, or Nick, quickly shoved the flowers into the garbage, covering them with other bits of trash.
"Yep, just getting ready!" He called back, quickly putting on a shirt. The shirt had a huge 'M' on it, the main reason it was his favorite shirt.
Nick gave out one last cough before opening the bedroom door.
There stood the taller male, known as Ghetto.
The two had been dating for a few months, but only a few weeks ago did Nick's condition get worse... Hanahaki.
"Ready to go?" Ghetto asked, extending a gloved hand to Nick.
This made Nick chuckle lightly, placing his hand on top of Ghetto's, "Where we heading to today?"
Ghetto pulled Nick close to him, wrapping the same arm around the smaller male, "Not a pizza place, I promise you that."
Nick punched him gently and playfully, "Hey! Why not?" He then giggled right after.
Ghetto chuckled at this, rubbing his head, "I get to choose tonight, so we're going to a nicer restaurant."
Nick rolled his eyes, resting his head against Ghetto's chest, "Fiiine, Just this once."
Ghetto smiled warmly, placing a kiss on top of Nick's head.
The two exited the apartment they shared, getting onto the dark green and red, with some hints of black, motorcycle.
(Thought the colors suited, along with the ride)
"Safety first..!" Nick exclaimed, putting a helmet on Ghetto before he did.
"Of course, wouldn't want your lovely self getting hurt~" Ghetto tried to flirt, but still got Nick to blush lightly. "Oh shush you!"
Ghetto winked at Nick, hopping onto the vehicle. Nick got on right after, wrapping his arms around Ghetto's waist.
Ghetto started the engine and soon enough began driving through the streets of the city they lived in.
The motorcycle halted at a red stop light, Ghetto placing his foot on the ground to keep the motorcycle steady.
Nick coughed quietly, feeling a petal rub against his throat. 'Not now...'
"You Alright, peaches?" Ghetto asked, glancing back at Nick.
He had many little nicknames for Nick, the main one being peaches.
Nick rubbed his throat, trying his best to move the petal out of the way so he could breath easily, "Th-throat's been hurting lately.."
It was both true and false. His throat had been hurting, but not lately, almost every second he took a breath.
Ghetto looked back at him, concerned. "Want me to stop at a gas station or somethin'?" He offered, the light turning yellow.
"Yes please.." Nick wheezed out, gripping his throat even tighter.
Ghetto pushed his foot off the ground when the lift went green, vrooming off to a nearby gas station.
Once they were there, Ghetto parked the motorcycle, helping Nick off. Nick rested himself against the motorcycle, continuing to cough.
"Need some medicine? I'm sure there's some in there," Ghetto offered to his beloved boyfriend.
Nick tried standing up, but failed, falling against Ghetto.
"Nick?!" He shouted, putting his hands on Nick's shoulder to help him stand properly.
The flower landed on Ghetto's shoe, making him shake as he realized what was happening. "Oh g-god..."
A dark red petal was sticking out of the corner of Nick's mouth, but it wasn't dark red because of the petal itself.
"No, no, no," Ghetto repeated continuously, holding Nick close to him. "Someone, somebody help!" He shouted, rushing into the gas station with Nick still in his hands.
The female working at the cash register looked at the two, seeing the diseased male. "I'll call an ambulance!" She said, rushing over to a phone in the back.
Nick fell to his knees, gripping his throat as he felt another flower grow, clogging more of his throat.
Ghetto followed him down, kneeling close beside him, "You'll be alright, you're going to be, okay?!"
Nick turned to look at his true love, the only male he's ever truly loved.
Tears trailed down his cheeks, fogging the glass mask he wore to cover his eyes.
Nick wiped a tear away with his thumb, making Ghetto face him, "I'll always be here...always.."
Another quiet wheeze escaped his lips before he fell to his side, everything fading to black.
