Chapter 1 :
Eva's pov:
" Eva, do you think this will do!?" Raina turned to me holding a sky blue jeans mini skirt infront of her waistline. I just cant understand Raina and her obsession with shopping. If you are a shopoholic then you met your perfect partner. But not for me.
"Yeah, you can try that one." Showing my sweet smile to her hoping she would finally stop with this one.
"Mmm...I think I will go for the maroon one, what say? Huh?" scratching her head with a tone of uncertanity.
I know by now she is not gonna stop any soon. I had to drag her somehow out of the boutique which is her most favourite one in this city. The city which never sleeps...mumbai
"Raina, let's grab something I am....too hungry" I made a long face hoping she would fall for it.
"Yeah!! I have a perfect place in my mind for a brunch, come my Lilly doll"
Raina almost pulled me along making her heels noise by almost her tapping excited walk.
We reached the food court of the mall and Raina took off to check the food counters. I wasn't hungry but I was really tiered being with her trying almost all the outfits in the boutique though she s filled her backseat of the car with the shopping bags she isn't satisfied to call it a day.
I sat in the chair watching the area around, people, food stall, couples.
A three months before I never thought I would come out from the room where I kept myself shutting the outside world. Everything changed just by saying two words " I do".
My whole life took 180 turn on the day when I agreed to marry Ricky Raichand the multi millionaire, one of the top listed business tycoon. The hier of the Dazzle gold and diamonds, one of the big 5 jewellery retailers globally with a strong retail network of 130 retail outlets spread across nine countries.
A devil masked in handsome breathtaking features, an arrogant, rude, stubborn, selfish,player,manwhore and the list goes on...
Oh! How I wish i would not have agreed on that cursed day of my life to go on a late night snack munching with my stupid crazy cousins for a go crazy night out... which we pull everytime we get together. I can only wish now.
" Eva, .....gotta ......go..." Raina stuttered. I turned to face her ' why is she short of breath?' Was she running towards me. She clasped both hands on the arms of the chair next to me trying to calm down.
" relax raina!, what's it?" I asked looking at her blankly.
" where s your mobile Eva? Why don't you answer him? He is raging Like bull!"
What?! Who?!
" Raina, what's the matter? Who called me?"
" who else Eva? Ricky! He wants you to return home this instant as he s gonna take you to the Varun's party".
Oh!, he s back! So soon?, I wish he had stayed few more days in Dubai, it's been almost a month I haven't seen him and I can't tell how relaxed I felt in his absence. Why the devil has to pop out all of a sudden.
" mobile is in my bag Raina" I told her rather lazily.
" you my dear, sure has some guts. Come on we have no time left you better get you ass ready on time. There's a party in uncle Menon's home and Ricky is expecting you to get ready on time."
She pulled me along to the parking basement. I got inside the passenger seat as she started her new Audi A3 sedan which she calls her baby. I can't stop smiling when I see her craze for the car collection and hours she spends talking almost bragging about her cars. But I still like her though sometimes she is totally pain in ass.
I took my bag from the back seat after shuffling her shopping bags. Finally having found my bag I took out my mobile to check the calls. Raina gave me a sigh by looking at me and I wondered what that sigh meant for.
I gulped hard when I saw 23 missed calls and 4 messages from a same number.
" pick up my call"
I rolled down for another message one by one.
"Where the hell are you?"
"Damn Eva, just pick up the call"
"Are you deaf?"
How did he get my number I don't remember giving him but ofcourse I don't have to dig that as I know he has his ways , Arrogant jerk.
