- Hayley's Pov -

Looking at the mirror, side ways, I can't help but sigh in disappointment at my reflection.

"Hurry up Hayley, I need to pee!" Asher shouts while hitting his fist on the bathroom door.

"Give me a second!" I shout back to him. I grab my hair brush and brush it through my thick, brown hair.

My hair can drive me crazy because of how frizzy it can get at some times. So I put hairspray in my hair to try and stop the frizz.

I open the door and my brother rushes in pushing me out of the way. Shaking my head with a laugh, I walk out of the bathroom so he can do his business.

My brother is younger than me but he is taller, making him look older than me.

When I make it to my room I go inside and shut the door behind me. I like my room, it's my getaway place. It's where I can just be myself.

I walk past my wardrobe filled with posters of celebrities. My personal favourite, right now, is the poster of Ansel Elgort.

Once I've made it to my bed I lay down letting my head rest over the edge of the bed. I start to pull my hair back into a ponytail.

I find it easier to put my hair up like this.

After I finish putting my hair up, I get up and get changed for school.

"Hayley! We are leaving in five minutes!" My father shouts out to me.

My dad has always been there for every game of volleyball I've played, he's been there for me when I'm sad or feel like I cant achieve something.

My mother on the other hand, she is always there for me and gives me compliments but I can't help but feel as if she doesn't like me as much as my brother and sister.

"I'm coming now" I say before heading out of my room.

As I walk out I go to the kitchen and grab my lunchbox. I open my schoolbag and place the lunchbox in before zipping it up.

I throw my bag over my shoulder and head out the front door. Asher, my sister (Taylor), my father and I hop in the car before driving off.

I put my ear phones in and stare out the window. Shawn Mendes' songs play through the earphones.

I listen deeply and listen to the lyrics. I listen to what they mean. His songs are what I listen to most.

The car starts to pull up to school and my dad starts to slow the car down. The car soon comes to a stop,

"Asher and Taylor, your mother is picking you up and Hayley, I'm picking you up after Volleyball" my dad says before we hop out of the car.

I start to walk to my locker where I keep all my folders and books. Once I've reached my locker I put down my bag and grab the books I need for my upcoming classes.

My friend, Jasmine, soon shows up after me.

"Hey, Hayley, how are you?" She asks me with a smile as she also grabs her books for her classes.

"I'm fine" I say with a small smile. We begin to walk to our first class.

When we make it to the classroom I notice everybody is already in there. Jasmine and I walk in through the door putting all the attention on us.

We both just laugh quietly before sitting down next to our other friends.

"Good morning class" my teacher walks in with an enthusiastic smile.

"Good morning" everybody drags out in a monotone voice.

"Today we are going to continue to learn about algebra" he begins.

This is going to be a long day.
