Danni's perspective
"Princess, the king would like to see you,he says its urgent " said my guard in a gentle but stern tone . "ugggg ill be there in a minute!" [what in the world would he want ] i walked sluggishly to the bathroom where i washed my face with cold water brushed my teeth and pulled my hair in a neat pony tail and formed a bun (gotta try to look well kept) i dragged over to my closet and picked a lime green dress with a yellow floral print and pulled it on also i pulled out a pair of yellow heels . i rushed downstairs realizing that i took a half hour to dress. i saw my dad with an impatient look on his face stare at me,"Danielle " i nodded and then he motioned for me to and
i did. "Danielle in a few days you will be 16 , here there is a tradition that when the princess is 16 she will get married ,usually to someone of royal blood ."
"i don't like the would of that .."
"Do you remember prince Richard of Avalon ?"
[how could i forget that idiot ?]
"yes father,he was at the Maybell
ball last week."
"i think he would be a suitable husband for you and he agreed"
[da hell?!?]
"umm father don't i have a say in whom i get marriedd ?"
"usually no"
"i see"
As i get up and started walking outside my dad asks "honey aren't you hungry?"
"its ok dad I've got enough to swallow already" i walked out into the garden and layed in the grass with my arms spread out staring at to blue cloudless sky asking myself ,"why me?" as a tear ran dowm my cheek.

The king's perspective
"how dare she ask if she can pick her own husband?im her father , i know what's best for her , besides , Richard's kingdom is rich in oil and spices, if we join our kingdoms we'll be better off ." i gave a grin as i took a bite of a leg of lamb as i thought about my future riches . i shouted to Danielle, "the wedding is Thursday! the seamstress is already working on your dress , Richard will be here tomorrow." [that boy is an ass but he will have to work] i said as i finished my lamb and sat back pleased.
