Chapter: 2
At lunch, shuffling through the cafeteria, carrying my pizza and apple lunch, I took a seat at my usual table with my friends surrounding and socializing around me. Lucky for me, Dax was apart of my weird group of friends, sitting right across from me everyday.
He normally kept quiet and so did I while everyone around us yapped and squabbled, when I was bored sometimes I usually found it amusing to watch.
At certain times, when I was sure he wasn’t looking, I would sneak glances at Dax, sort of watch him in a non-stalkerish way. The way his hair fell above his long lashed that covered his deep blue eyes was striking as he looked down at his lunch trey.
I wanted to reach out and touch him sometimes but I knew I couldn’t ever do that. The thought of Dax ever looking down at me in disgust or disdain made my stomach drop so this was the closes I could ever get to the real thing.
Sneaking quick glances and fantasizing pervertedly during class and at home in the privacy of my bedroom.
“Gabe”.
I was broken out of my train of thought by a familiar voice diagonal from me.
I looked up at Scott, a rather kind of weird friend that wore down on me sometimes when he was bored.
“Yeah?”, I mumbled, nibbling on my cheese pizza.
“Can you help Dax here with his math homework since I don’t do homework and you’re my favorite nerd?”, Scott grinned innocently, wrapping his arm around Dax’s shoulder and shaking.
“Yeah, sure”, I murmured but apparently loud enough for Scott to hear since he begun giving all my contact information to Dax. Moments later I realized what I had just agreed to.
My heart raced and my stomach fluttered with butterflies as I realized Dax Harrington would be in my house, in my room, with me.
‘Holy Hell!’ I thought with widen eyes as my pizza hung limp in my palm.
