    Anika fell down with a plop on her bed landing face first. She hadn't

realize that it would be that hard ,but , still there was no surprise.

She laid on her cot. Her curly hair covering the pillow like a blanket.

Night had fallen. Everyone was asleep except for her. She could escape right now , but Anika was to smart for that , she would have to run away during winter. There was a soft knock at the door.

"Come in." She said.

It was jack he wore no shirt and was only in his undergarment. Mind you these under garments showed a little more with out revealing the package completely. Then her mind wandered back to his lips , and the kiss.

"I just wanted to apologize." He stated awkwardly.

"Okay you've apologized , now its bye , bye" Her accent slipped out a little. She motioned for him to go.

"Anika , you cant say that what we share wasn't special." Jack got her , by the expression worn on her face." I practically felt you tremble against me."

He reached toward her grazing her lips with his knuckles

" The first time i laid eyes on you , i knew i wanted you." By then he was already three feet near her.

" Its been 2 months , you cant deny the feelings, just tell me you want me." His blue eyes searched through her strange colored ones.

The bottom of her lip quivered along with her body.

"I-I." Before she could finish there was a loud bang.  They both rushed out to see Jacks dad stumble into the kitchen in a drunk state.

"Shouldn't you be asleep." He slurred. looking between the two of them. He could sense something , but couldn't place his finger on it.

"Yes master." Anika mumbled , hurrying into her room.

"Um dad i think you should-."

"Cut the crap Jack." he said waving his hand to cut him off. " I know what's going on , you like her."

Jack didn't say anything.

" I'm gonna have to sell her if you keep this up."

Now he spoke up." But dad , there's nothing going-."

"Shut up." his dad said slurring his words." Go to your room."  Jack blew out a long breath and walked back into his room not before knocking once softly on Anika's door in reassurance.
