"Hello? You two awake?" A soft voice drifted into the small, rocky crevice Eclipse and Aurora had been sleeping in. Startled by the noise, Eclipse's dark ears perked up and Eclipse soon did the same. The back of his fur stood up and his mouth twisted into a snarl as he growled at the intruder.
"Stay back." warned Eclipse, sounding firm although he was terrified of the bigger looking pokemon standing in front of him. The pokemon was standing in front of the sun, making it only look like a silhouette against the sky. Aurora was awoken by the sound of Eclipse's voice, and she lifted her head to look at the pokemon.
The pokemon gave off a faint laugh, and cocked its head at the two. "I won't hurt you two. come on out." Eclipse sat in his current position, contemplating whether or not he should come out. After a couple of moments, he cautiously crept into the sunlight, followed by Aurora. They could see the pokemon clearly now. it was a female absol. Eclipse stared at her back right leg. Crouched behind her foot, was an absol pup.
The female absol gave a kind stare towards Eclipse and Aurora, smiles politely, and asked, "What's your names?" Eclipse stood in front of Aurora, scanning the absol for any signs that she was harmful.
"I'm Aurora, and this is my mate, Eclipse." Aurora said, gesturing towards Eclipse, who was standing perfectly still, trying to decide whether or not he should run.
The absol smiled and began to turn around, then stopped, looking back at the two eeveelutions. "If you two are looking for a place to stay, if you come with me we can all find a place to live together!" She looked down at her pup. "Little Fang and I were just waiting around for his father to return fro-" she stopped in the middle of her sentence, her head immediately perking up as she looked back at Eclipse and Aurora again, with an expression on her face that seemed a bit shocked.
"Oh my! She exclaimed, seeming a bit disappointed. "I can't believe I never told you two my name!" she laughed a bit, and smiled cheerfully again. "My name is Azure! And this little guy here is Fang!" She looked down at her pup, who's eyes still hadn't opened yet. "And, if I'm not mistaken..." she looked at Aurora. "You're about to have a few of your own!
Aurora smiled and nodded, looking at Fang. Eclipse had loosened his stance while Azure was talking. The three stood in a half circle, the light breeze sticking snowflakes to their slightly muddy fur. Bothered by the silence, Azure spoke up. "Well? do you guys need a home?" Eclipse stared at her until Aurora spoke up.
Azure turned around, bending over to Fang. She Picked the little pup up by his scruff in her firm jaws, and began to walk towards a narrow dirt path that was shrouded in bushes. Aurora followed her without a single doubt that Azure could cause any harm. Eclipse, still cautious about any new pokemon, stood, frozen, until they were both out of sight, then became nervous about not being able to see Aurora. He quickly padded in the direction they were headed.
