Entry 60 4/21/17
I smelt something in the distance.Was it smoke or food, I couldn't tell.I opened my eyes to see Vala curled into a ball up against my back.I sat up to see trees were burning all around us , but the grass around us wasn't burnt at all.I looked at everyone else they were all still asleep.I looked back at Vala to her ears glowing and eyes , thought they were shut I saw they were glowing as well.
"Hey Vala.Vala wake up."I said to her.Her eyes opened and I saw what was once blue eyes were now icey and grey."Vala what the hell?"I watched as it is slowly subsided.
"Yes Sam."She said rubbing her eyes , as she sat up.
"Oh yes."I said shaking my head."What's with this um barrier or shield."
"Oh yes about that I forgot to tell you about that.You see before you fell asleep I had put a spell around here. It's helpful , see if I didn't put up this wall we would all be dead Correct?"She said.
"Yes this true, can you maybe... maybe teach me these spells just maybe?"I asked
"Fine by me but first get me three candle then come get me." She said as she got up and started to walk away."On the other hand here are the candles."She had them come out of thin air and they flew right in front of me."Over time the Rukh that you use will start to help you.But you only have a certain amount , and when you can light the candles on the outside but not the middle candle."I nodded.
"What are Rukh by the way."I asked.
"Its called the Rukh.It's like magic , but it's very limited"She said.I nodded."Well have fun with those candle,I'm going to go make some breakfast."She spoke with a smile.She never smiles is something wrong?Maybe it's just me.I pulled myself together , and walked around the shield.
"So how long will this last?"I asked as, she flipped eggs.
"About until breakfast ends.Work on those candles for now."I nodded and pulled out the candles.I still didn't know how to work this Rukh yet but I concentrated on the candles.It felt like hours but nothing happened.Vala noticed "Here think this candles as you friends, and this one is going to harm him or her."I suddenly was angry.I saw all the candles burn up into flame.I looked at Vala she had her hand in her face.I gave her a look of stupidity and angry."What to try again?"
"Fine I will try again."I said , but sad to say I burned them all again.Vala got up and went back to her cooking.I tried for a couple of hours still nothing.Damn his was so hard.How did she figure this out , oh wait she was dead she had all the time in the world.
"Maybe try something important or someone important."Vala said
"Like who?"
"Try Hope ,Raven, Charle or ever me.Or your cats you can try them."She spoke happily.I closed my eyes.I tried once more.I thought about the classes we had together, how much we fun we had. "There you go."I heard,I opened my eyes to see the outside candles lite while the one in the middle was not.I was so happy I smiled.
"Yes finally!Haha that took for ever."I laughed.
"Great now another one but this time it will be a lot harder than before."I tilted my head in confusion.
"What's there more." "Hey it's only up hill from here.Now look at weapons what speaks to you the most?"I looked at my weapons.I looked at the bows, the swords and still couldn't decide.
"Oh um... um what about that random mace that is just over in the brush over there?"I asked.
"Sure what the hell?"Vala said.I pick it up and threw it in the air.
"Hey Vala."
"Oh Sure."I threw it to her and next thing I saw she was throw into a large tree.I looked above her head to see "Immortal Object" "What the hell was that for!"She yelled.
"SHHH you'll wake them up!"I said in a mean tone.
"Ugh just get me down now."She barked back.I pulled the mace off of her and she fell to the ground.She lunged at me with her scythe , I dodged it/We attacked again and again , dodging every move.We kept it up until we hit the ground laughing so hard.
"What are you guys doing here?"I heard from behind us.We both tilted are head to the voice.
"RAVEN!"We both said it at the same time.Smiling and laughing at how stupid this must have looked to her.We got up and headed up to her.
"Sorry about that.We were just having some fun Raven."I explained.I get up and headed to her still laughing.I turned around to see Vala was still on the ground looking up at the sky."You coming?"
"Hmm?"She said looking over at me her eyes coldly grey."Yeah I will be ready when you are ready to leave.For now I will be right here."She turned back to the sky.I went back to the others.
"She does that a lot you will get use to that again."Peyton said.I saw she was making breakfast.
"Didn't Vala already make food?"I asked
"Sam, Vala hasn't touched this pan?"Hope said.
"How do you know?"
"Because we only have one pan and this one was clean."Peyton said.I looked over to Vala she was still looking at the sky.
"Well then what are you having for breakfast?"
"Ham and eggs , it's almost done."Peyton said.She handed me and the other plates with ham and eggs."Sam will you bring one of these to Vala please.She doesn't eat it but the plate always comes back empty."
"Yeah sure."I brought it to her.I sat down on the ground with her.I handed the food to her she took it and put it on the ground next to her.
"I wouldn't eat that if I were you."She said
"Why?"
"Because your taste buds can' taste that so it mostly tastes like puke."
"Yeah right."I put a piece of ham in my mouth and immediately regret it.I spit it out."So how am I supposed to eat?"
"Easy dead people have to make there own meals.Here have a biscuit.I made it and since I'm dead you should be able to..."I cut her off and eat the biscuit, I could taste it which was alot better than not tasting food at all.
"So what do you do with the other food?"I asked still eat the biscuit.
"Easy I just leave it behind.When you are done with that we should get ready to go."I nodded and got up with my plate the food that was on it now on the ground.I brought are plates back to Peyton and she took them.
"So who long till we leave now?"I asked.
"WE ARE ALMOST READY TO GO SEE MORE ANIme CHARACTERS!!"Raven yelled to me.I shuck my head, and rolled my eyes.
"Hey Vala we are almost..."I say she was right behind me standing her head right at my shoulder.Her scythe on her back her eyes grey staring at me.
"Yes Sam what do you need?"She asked her eyes still fixed on me.
"We are ready to go now."I said still a little shock on how she got to my side so quickly. She nodded and grabbed her side bag and looked bag at us.
"Ready?"Vala said her eyes a brighter blue a blue I haven't seen in a long time.
