A/n: Redbull gives you wings. Jk no it doesn't, but anyway. Idk what this is, enjoy.

^Lets start^

The storm outside was menacing, as it battered the windows and doors. The rain didn't help as it formed puddles in the middle of the paths and roads. Running down the muddy path towards the large house surrounded by fields and woods, the winged male stumbled slightly, nearly falling but managed to stop himself by putting his hands out in front of him. The mud stuck to his hands, so trying to do what any sane person would do, he wiped the mud off onto his trousers, that were coming apart at some of the seams.

The mighty wings tried to desperately cover his aching body from the storm, but the broken bones and raw flesh where feathers had been ripped out stung like a stab wound when the hail and rain slammed into them. He just needed shelter, hide under the balcony of the giant house and run at sunrise. No-one would see him, hopefully.  Skidding and falling to the muddied ground in front of the large building, m/n curled up in the corner of the sheltered patio, his wings painfully closed against his body, supporting him as he leant back against the wall, it didn't do much for shelter, the wind still attacked him harshly.

The sun started to arise, it's rays a light yellow and pink in the early hours of the day. The small and fragile male turned over slightly, but the pain suddenly shot through his body, the broken bone in his left wing , a hiss was heard, before he tried to stand. His body fell, hard against the wood surface, and a top was elicited from him. A sudden metallic click was heard, and then the creak of old wood. Not so hidden after all. In an immediate reaction, the smaller injured male went to leap up, but again whacked his wing against the wall, now a small yelp resounded in the calm air. The male who had opened the door looked a little more than shocked, his jaw was slightly dropped, and his eyes were wide, cautiously, and only when the odd winged male had stopped jumping about, did he go to move towards him. At this the small sitting male tensed up further, he didn't know if either fight or flight had kicked in but he was currently too scared to move.

Slowly, and almost too calmly for the man who basically just saw a real angel, the man walked froward, probably having seen the badly injured wing and hands of the man along with the blood on the walls and floor. The h/c haired boys breath picked up with each step the other took forward, he couldn't run though, and most definitely couldn't fly but he'd never been able to fly. Slowly, slowly, slowly, the man crept slowly forward and gently placed his hand on the winged man's shoulder.

¥Time skip : one week¥

After a first week of living with the  human, Aaron Burr as he came to be known, m/n grew accustomed to him. He worked four days a week at an office job in the town not so far over, left at six thirty and came back at nine fifteen, he had Friday to Sunday off of work. He had found the winged male, m/n, on the Monday at four fifty in the morning, and had taken him inside, before leaving for work at around five fifteen, he was given pain killers and a blow-up mattress to sleep on during the day. From when Aaron got home from work, he started trying his best to clean the wounds and bandage them, but ended up having to give the other two baths since the wings were a dirtied grey much like the dirty hair he had as well, it was near half ten before bandages even touched the wounds, the cloth also kept falling off of the wings, and Aaron eventually found that he needed to use a splint for the left wing.

¥Time skip : Friday Morning¥

It being early, and it being the newfound human friends first day off work, the winged male was overly excited to learn more about the new human things he hadn't been introduced to yet. Like he did every morning since the Tuesday, m/n sat unpon the door to Aaron's room, he was watching over the human, and it was nice to be able to stretch his wings out, well, wing. He couldn't fly, but that didn't mean he couldn't glide, he couldn't whilst having the splint on, but any other time he could, he was one of the last of a species specifically built for flight, and the best could do was glide.

As the door swung back and forth, m/n watched the sun rise higher in the sky, it was well past seven, and he almost became worried for the human, but knew he needed his sleep. The male finally woke, and as if on instinct, his eyes shot up to the door, an almost relieved sigh left the man, after seeing the curious male sitting on the door.
"Did you sleep well, Aaron?"
"Yes thanks, did you even sleep?"
"Not for too long, the rain was scary last night,"
A confused glance was sent m/n's way before Aaron got out of bed and lifted the side of the curtains, seeing muddy puddles and water dripping down the window.
"Aaron, can we have that yellow string stuff again for the second meal?"
"It's called spaghetti, and dinner, but I'll think about it,"
"mkay,"
M/n watched the other man walk out the door before jumping down and following him. They entered the kitchen, the h/c haired male went and sat on the counter, watching the other as he made some small amount of food for them both.

It was late morning and both males were talking about the different things they both didn't understand about the different species.
"Yes, but why don't you fly?"
"Because I'm afraid of heights."
"That's stupid, you're basically an angel."
"You try being the only angel in the world that can't fly."
