"I love her!!!" I screamed at my best friend Oliver. "I can't just let her go and forget everything about her!! I can't forget how her smile could make me feel like I was flying or how her laugh would lift everyone's mood!!! I can't forget how she made me feel like I was worth something!!!" "Ok, ok I get it, just stop yelling at me, ok? I knew you loved her I just didn't know how much, I'm sorry; what do you want me to do?" Oliver asked me in a tranquil voice trying to get me to calm down. Still yelling, but slightly more soft then before; I sounded more sad then angry now. "Unless you can get her to come back to me you can't do anything. I just want her back, she was my everything... she was my world. Faye Emerson is the love of my life and I would do anything to get her back." Oliver stared at me with a look of concern and empathy. "I just need her Oliver. I need her in my life, I can't forget about her because everything reminds me of her and I just can't help it." I say desperately trying to get him to truly understand how hurt I am. "Look Andrew, I can try to help you get her back, but you need to pull yourself together" "You are going to help me get her back? Dude, you haven't even ever had a girlfriend, I've seen you try, and not to be rude, but you are not good at talking to girls at all. So please, tell me how you are going to help me get her back. Humor me." I say bitter and jokingly. Oliver playfully punches my arm saying " yea, yea. Whatever, so I haven't had a girlfriend, but that doesn't mean I can't help you out. You're forgetting Faye was my best friend before you guys started dating and then I met you and she got super popular and you know how I am, I just don't like that many eyes on me like she does. So I know her really well form the past years, which means that I can help you. I'll see if she wants to hangout and go for a coffee next week like old times and talk to her about you guys. I'll find out why she broke up with you then I can help from there." Oliver says this with such confidence that he can help me that I believed him. "Ok, fine. Go ahead and try to help, but I'm telling you it won't work. There's probably another guy, I mean she didn't give a reason, but she said "your too much for me" and that was that." "Andrew, there's not another guy; if there was you know we would've heard about it by now because of how popular she is. Everyone keeps tabs on her and i mean everyone. It's honestly kind of creepy to me." I laughed at Oliver. He's not a very social guy, he's always been the kid in the back corner with earbuds in listening to music on full blast so he won't have to talk to people; the only people Oliver talks to is Faye and I, but since Faye is the most popular person in the school, he doesn't talk to her as much as he used to. She got super popular around sophomore year, nobody really knows why though. Everyone just likes her because of how kind she is; she's always help everyone else out and she doesn't care what people think, lots of people envy her for her free spirited personality. Faye Emerson is amazing. Oliver just doesn't like the spotlight, I on the other hand am stuck in the middle; I'm popular, but not like Faye. I like where I am on the social bar because I can be friends with the popular people, but I can also hangout with the outcasts. Outcast probably isn't the best way to put it through because nobody really has a problem with anybody. Everyone is cool with everyone. Outcasts are people that are shut out by society, but people at Milton high school the "outcasts" shut them selfs out of society because they simply don't like to be social or they are too busy to be social.
"Fine, so there's not another guy. I got to go though because I promised I would pick up my little sister from school today and I don't have much time. Oh, and don't forget to ask Faye to hangout." I say as I grab my keys off the table next to Oliver's bed. "Don't worry dude, I won't forget. I got this." Oliver shuts the door behind me and I make my way to my car and go pick up my little sister
