I look down at my thin white sheets covering my bed. What happened? I ask myself. It all comes back. I try to fit it together.
Last night was the best night of my life. The last thing I remember is a girl in a costume. I try to remember but I fail. However, not all memories escape me for I remember one thing... A smile.
I hop out of bed, get dressed, brush my teeth, and head downstairs for breakfast. I can smell my mom's pancakes cooking as I make my way to the kitchen.
My mind wanders off and I begin to think about this girl. She must go to my school because we were at a school costume party and she wears cherry-red lipstick. That's pretty much all I know about her.
I am interrupted by the sound of a plate hit the counter. Mom puts the pancakes in front of me and I eat.
I then head off to school. I go to my locker and waiting there is a strange girl.
"Hello?" I say awkwardly.
"Hey Harlem," she replies.
Right as I'm about to ask her how she knows my name, she reaches to my head, grabs it and kisses me right on the lips. Cherry.
