How can it be,
That people think it's ok to erase history?
To change things like how Rosa Parks,
Left her marks.
By changing history you change the nation.
You're throwing away people's dedication.
To you it maybe a simple statue,
And you don't mind saying adue,
But it was made so we don't repeat a past mistake.
However people come to take
It down, because maybe someone found it offensive.
And I guess this idea isn't very comprehensive,
That yes, history maybe brutal,
But it is vital,
That it doesn't disappear,
Due to fear,
That history so violent and we don't need this or that detail.
But our mind is not frail.
Even little ones need to understand,
How America became the promise land.
All that everyone has gone through,
In order to make the nation you
Know, we need to know the base!
There is no need to erase!
