-JINHAE-
---

I squinted my eyes at the blazing sunshine shining through my apartment windows. I got up, slowly walking to the window to shoo away the tweeting birds that ruined my flippin sleep. I WAS SUPPOSED TO SLEEP IN TODAY. It is my day off from work anyways.

As I open the windows, I loudly curse at the birds causing them to quickly fly away. Happy with my work, I waddled my way back to flop myself onto my beautiful bed.

Then I remembered that today is payday. I also need the resignation slip. Wait, what the hell do I need the resignation slip for..? It's not like I'll get accepted right away anyways.. I got rid of the plan to make the resignation slip and made a new plan to get off the frickin bed and get ready already since I've been laying on this bed for about an hour or two already. Slowly getting up, I stretch my arms, getting ready to stand up and continue my day.

"Good morning Jinhae." Jackson greeted me from the other side of the counter. "Good morning Jackson, could you please get me the usual?" I yawned as I leaned against the counter. "So why are you here? To get your pay?" He asked as he brewed up a small amount of coffee. I nodded, "Is Manager Jo here?" I asked him. "Yup. Recruiting people.." He pointed to her mini office behind the counter.

Looking down to pop a mint in my mouth.

I nodded as I watched him pour the coffee in the glass, filling about one eight of the glass, then filling the rest with milk and then mixing it a little. Of course not to forget, the finishing piece, the cream. I brang out my wallet to fish out some money but he sropped me in doing so. "It's on me." He winked at me. I laughed and put back my wallet, "If you insist. Thanks." I got my drink and put up a finger gun, to which he copies.

I thanked him before going behind the counter and to the mini office. I made a small knock before going in. "Manager Jo-" As I got in, Manager Jo stood up, "Hold on.. Miss Kim." I tried to look at the person behind her but failed to do so. "Yes Jinhae?" She asked me. "Uh, so I was wondering if I could get my pay?" I shyly ask. "Hey, no need to be shy, and I told you that you can call me Ji A. I'll be right back, please entertain Miss Kim for me will ya?" She said to which I nodded to before leaving the room. As I heard the click, I looked back at the person. I did not expect who I saw. I huffed out, No way.

"Sun Hee?!" I exclaimed.

"Jin-Jin?!" She also exclaimed, immediately standing up from her seat to hug me.

As we hug each other tightly, a certain someone was smirking behind that door.

"Wait- didn't I tell you to NOT call me Jin-Jin?" I narrowed ny eyes at her. She just chuckled at me. "It's been years!" She exclaimed. "It was only a year.." I brought up my hand, bringing up two fingers.

"Yeah, it's been a while." She added.

"So.. you're now my co-worker?" I crossed my arms.

"Well, soon to be," She grinned, sitting down. "Wait- you work here?!" She realized as she almost fell off the chair she was sitting on just a second ago.

I smiled, nodding my head yes, "Yup."

"YEAH BOI! I'LL BE WORKING WITH MY BUD HERE~" She exclaimed, putting all her limbs up in the air. I chuckled at her, "You're waaayy to loud." I playfully cover my ears with my hands. "Says the one who was proclaimed by the teacher as the loudest student in class back when we were in highschool." She rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms.

I put down my hands, "Hey! I've changed." I bursted out.

I rolled the mint in my mouth, eager for it to melt instantly.

"Still into mints?" She asked booping my cheeks with both her index fingers.

"It's the best thing humans made- it also makes your mouth freshen even if you don't brush your teeth-" I opened my mouth and breathe out in front of my best friend's face. "HEY! that stinks- Oh, it actually does smell good." She looks really confused.

"Told you."

As we were playing around and shouting, the door opened. "Jinhae-" Ji A Unnie appeared at the doorway. "What the hell happened when I was gone, I told you to entertain Miss Kim- but I did not expect this." She covered her face, trying to prevent her face from laughing at the two girls lying on the carpeted floor. We both quickly got up and dusted ourselves. "You saw nothing." We both said in complete unison.

After the ruckus, we both said farewell to each other before I got my envelope of money. We both promised each other to keep in touch as we both exchanged numbers.

"Bye Sun Hee, Ji A Unnie. Thank you." I bowed before them. "I told you to call me Ji A but considering I'm older than you, it's fine." I closed the door before getting my drink from my bag, leaving a cold space. Sipping at it little by little, I held the cold, metal handles of the glass doors as I pulled it open.

As I felt the cold wind brush against my skin, I blinked my eyes before taking the steps to my home.

A WEEK LATER

Opening the door to my apartment, I checked the time.

10:21 AM

Considering it's still early, I'll hit the gym. It's like- the perfect day- so why not? I mean, it is just down on the second floor. Speedily changing my clothes into something comfy, I packed my things and grabbed my duffel bag before heading out my room.

[]

Sweating from punching, I sat on the floor, chugging up all the liquids my blue water bottle could take. Huffing out, I stood up from the floor. Grabbing my duffel bag, I plan on going to practice dancing.
