ever since i was 15 years old, i remember being in love with the stars. i met zach when we were both 16 and out favourite thing to do was to go on little adventures and stare up at the stars until dawn. i'm 17 now and zach is the love of my life. i dont know what I'd do without him, as cliche as that sounds. I am in love with him.
present
zach's pov
"i'm sorry, but do I know you?" those 7 words ricocheted off her voice and across the whole room. i heard jonah quietly gasp as a turned around to them, taking a step back from y/n'a bed.
"i....i..." I stuttered, not being able to physically speak. jack spoke up and said, "we're your best friends, and we're gonna help you remember everything."
from that day, me and the boys visited her everyday. each day she'd remember little things, like corbyn's favourite pair of shoes or how to get to the why don't we house from her favourite ice cream shop. one night, all the boys had left the hospital and it was just me and her. we were sitting on the edge of her bed staring outside, the sky pitch black and our feet dangling to the floor. she started to mumble something about adventures and how pretty the stars were. she got up and walked over to her window, gently placing her hand against the glass. i gasped lightly as she turned around, walking towards me.
"zach?" she whispered
"yes beautiful?" i replied in a quiet tone.
"i remember, i remember everything"
my eyes lit up as i engulfed her in a hug, feeling her relax and sigh with content.
"i love you y/n"
