"Wings are meant to fly."

"Sirius... Sirius, where are you?" A black amphithere asked, making a curious sniff as she stuck her head into the tower.

She flapped her wings and looked about. Where was her younger brother? She settled on a rock and squeaked.

"And from the mighty skies came the great Vethrfolnir !" A dragon of the very opposite colour swooped down, pouncing on his prey. They two rolled against a wall, laughing and giggling.

"You're such a child." Shaula smiled and nuzzled Sirius.  "And youre too easy to be caught." He giggled. "Something the matter that you have to find me?"

"Other than having to play with you?" Shaula paused for bit, biting her tongue. "Kepler is looking for you." Sirius whined at those words.

Kepler.

Anything but Kepler.

"What is she on this time?" Sirius asked, letting out a sigh, following Shaula.

"She knew you went out without hers again, in fact the both of us."

"Dang it, can't she just mind her own business?"

"If the responsibility of your survival is my business, then I'll see what you have to say." Before they knew it, there stood her, towering before the two. "I can take care of myself!" Sirius yelled at the older dragon.

"As if! You know nothing of the dangers that could happen to you!"

"I can, I can even defend myse- ugh!" A single tail swoop left Sirius flying away, his back hitting a wall, dropping to the floor with a loud thud. "Sirius!" Shaula exclaimed and looked at Sirius as he flew, before turnning back and growling at Kepler. She quickly came to his aid, nuzzling and helping him up.

"You're still accustomed to that silly name?" Kepler asked as she moved towards them, her plated tail swaying in the air. Sirius slowly tried to stand back up, letting out a pitiful whine.

"Mother thats e-" Shaula paused as Kepler looked at her with her Jet Black eyes, as if reflecting into her very soul. "I... I understand, I-I'll stay out of this." The amphithere dropped her head, nuzzling and whispering a soft apology to Sirius before flapping her wings and standing just a level above them, watching them.

Kepler growled and looked at Sirius, which had shook himself and looked at Kepler, his eyes, as black as his mother's stared back into her soul, a reflection of her. "Come on, Iris. You don't want to do this."

"I'm not Iris! My name is Sirius and I am- " Another blow to the White dragon's chest, sending him back to the wall. "Silly child. Your name is and will always be Iris and you'll always be a female."

The words started to echo again. Ouch. "I know what I am, I am a male and your opin-"

"Then what's between your legs?"

That question was enough to make Sirius shut his mouth. It was true.

There was nothing there.

"I..." Sirius slumped, it always came to this where the words in his head got so ever loud. He wanted to lose control, he wanted to kill Kepler, he wanted to-

"Sirius?"

"Shaula."

"Erk, I mean Iris?" Sirius looked up, his eyes slightly teary. "Come on, let's get you some air."

Sirius nodded.

Shaula turned and looked at Kepler, which the elder dragon with a sigh and nod. She begun to walk down the stairs and laid upon a bare patch of land.

"I-it was fine..." Sirius whispered and said with his trembly voice as he laid beside her, his tears forming and rolling off his cheeks. The ampithere wrapped herself around her younger sibling, nuzzling his head. "Are the words still loud?"

He nodded.

She continued to soothe him, nuzzling and hugging him. "It will all pass soon... There will be a day when you can be yourself."

"And when is that day...?"

"When you wake. Now hush, brother dear. Sleep in my arms till you finally wake from this nightmare and endeavour..."
