Chapter 11

Harley’s pov

“Oh guys I forgot to tell you with everything that happened last night but they’ll be a nice boy starting school today, his name is Carter and he’s nearly eighteen, he’s in the new family wanting to join the pack” mom spoke making both me and Harry stop dead in our tracks. I could feel his body tense then drop at the same time as mine, at the mere mention of that name. Carter, just his name sent shivers down my spine, something was not right, it wasn’t right at all

All morning I’d felt rotten I knew Harry felt it too only he never normally paid attention to these feelings we’d get when something was going to happen in the near future, but as soon as he walked into the kitchen I knew he was taking it seriously. He looked awful, no doubt mirroring how I looked. His face was drawn in and he had a slightly dark tinge around his eyes. Anyone else probably wouldn’t even have noticed but I did. I knew every look, every feeling, every freckle on him and I knew without any doubt he felt as bad as I did, which worried me all the more knowing something really bad must be coming for him to be taking our power seriously.

Snapping out of our daze we both look at each other then back at mom who was stood waiting for us to say something

“Erm ok” he muttered grabbing my wrist and starting to lead me towards the front door

“Please make sure he fits in, the family seem ok if not a little over the top” she smiled making me shudder again

“Yeah mom” he shouted as he dragged me from the house shutting the door and sighing deeply

“Right Har, what the hell was that” he grimaced looking over at me, my expression mirroring his

“I have no idea Haz and I can’t say I want to find out” I shivered nodding over to his car and walking over to it with him next to me

“Yeah me either, I don’t trust this guy Har, we need to keep an eye on him. something big is about to go down and I don’t know about you but I’m pretty sure this Carter guys is the main player in it all” he said unlocking the car letting me open the door and slip into the seats scrunching my nose up again as the smell hit me again

“Yeah I agree” I said wiping my nose with my hand, geez I wish he’d stop banging his hoes in here it really was disgusting and I really didn’t want to think about it let alone smell the hundreds of different scents in the car. I couldn’t wait for my own back not long Har not long I kept telling myself over and over again, actually thankful the god awful stench was distracting me from thinking about this Carter whoever the hell he was.

“God Harley it’s not that bad” he laughed easing the tension surrounding us thinking about this guy

“No Haz it really is please just until I get my car back please please please stop doing girls in the car, it’s not a smell I enjoy” I shuddered making him laugh again at me

“Fine, but only because I don’t want you kicking my ass” he laughed making me smirk over at him. I loved that no one really pressed the fight a lot, they all knew better and to just leave me alone. I honestly didn’t see what all the fuss was about, yeah so what I was an amazing fighter I knew it everyone around me knew it hence why no one would fight me, and yeah so what if I fought uncle Dan, it’s not as if I whooped butt and didn’t get injured I mean come I passed out at the same time as him and if it wasn’t for Harry giving me all the energy I would have gone down before him.
