The pair of girls raced through the hallways alongside all of their peers. The stampede of teenage children all raced through the halls aiming to get to the front of the school, and exit to their homes for summer vacation. Soon enough the group of people slowed and the conversation became much less heavy in the air. Unknowingly the pair took a wrong turn, and opened the west side door that led to the old courtyard. The courtyard was abandoned by students very early in the year, as a girl had gone missing the the thick forest that coats the area near the school. The pair looked up to see they were in the baron land that had freckled trees in it, one approached the door, muttering to her friend of how they must have taken a wrong turn on their way out. She tugged on the door lightly, but it didn't open. Then she tugged more violently, trying to open the door. She backed away, unable to open the door. So her friend walked over, trying to open the door. Nor could she open the locked door. They shared a glance to each other followed by them both banging on the door, first lightly and playfully, later they became more panicked, and violent. Soon enough they stopped banging on the door and took to adventuring into the thick wooded area to find their way to the front, as neither of them were tall enough to jump the tall chain link fence without breaking an arm or leg on the way down. They ventured into the woods, the trees were tall with trunks ranging from slim, to thick. You could find no way to figure out where you were, as their were several trees with the same bark pattern, or appearance. Despite the summers daylight supposedly lasting forever, the girls found themselves stuck in the woods as the sun plunged to the moon could fly up. An explosion of deep yellows, pinks, oranges, and blues coated the lined horizon the color mix so smooth you could feel its flat smooth textures with your eyes. Dim smile coated the girls faces as they found a safe clearing, but they felt anything but calmed by the area. An uneasy feeling set in as they wandered the circle framed by bushes and trees. It was going to be nightfall in 10 minutes, and they had no chance to get back home before then. they grew worried and started to panic. All they had were their backpacks, the cloths on their backs, and each other. They both twirled around to walk back the other way, but they couldn't see a thing in the thick, deep, and shadowed over forest. They mentally prepared for the summers on shadowed night. Soon enough they sat on the forests floor and started to talk amongst themselves. They spoke what felt like hours before they suddenly heard a loud snap, but not one from some rabbit pushing its paws to the sticks covering the dirt, but rather the loud steel toed boot of a hunter stepping on a branch from a thundering violent rainstorms destruction. The two girls snapped their heads to the direction of the noise. Quickly they pick up on the swift footsteps that suddenly circled them, but it was no longer just on simple set of footsteps trespassing into their area, it was a group, a group of loud thumping footsteps that banged on the leaves of the forest floor. The girls panicked as the noises got faster, and louder. The girls hung on to one another, squeezing their eyes shut, wishing, praying for this to all be a bad dream. Suddenly, in one fast second the footsteps stopped, and you could catch the noise of a pen dropping to the forest floor with how quiet it had swiftly become. The pair opened their eyes and looked to the edges of the circle. A crimson line colored the outside edge of the forests dim areas. A knife was stuck into the ground. Upon investigation, dried blood caked it and you could see it was used more than once, twice, possibly even three times. They looked into the small part of the knife that had a reflective surface. Horror struck as a raspy voice called out to them, coaxing them to look behind them. They turned to their left, looking to find a man with a bloody carved in smile and a black ring around his aqua eyes. He took the knife and held it to one of the girls throats. "JEFF GET BACK HERE," the figure the voice boomed from approached, revealing two masked men who had been close by. The girls body was dropped by Jeff, as the other then attached to her and helped her shaken figure breath. The men took a look to the pair. "Get them, we need new trainees anyway." Said the man, as a led pipe hit both girls in the head, enough force was put in to knock them out, but not to kill them... not just yet.
