The police station was very quiet whenever I walked in, it seemed like everyone was just up and gone. I looked around for Eliza, I knew she worked there, just don't know what she did. As I was just about to walk around, a hand rested on my shoulder.
"Glad to see you made it safely Codin." The young man said, his blond hair tied back into a small bun. His brown eyes just stared into me, he was obviously reading me like a book.
"Uh.. Yeah, just kinda got tackled on the way over here..." I chuckled a bit and looked at the jacket, then back at the man before me.
He kept a straight face on then turned, ushering me to follow him. So, I did as I was told and I followed the officer. He led me into a room and pointed to another man, "He volunteered to care for you until you graduate, and by that, you get a roof over your head and food in your body."
The man turned and smiled at me, standing and holding his hand out, "I'm Jack Smith, pleasure to meet you." He said as he gave me a soft nod. I held my hand out and shook his hand gently.
"I'm Codin Miller." ((Note to Keith: CODIN'S LAST NAME CHANGES SO MUCH I CAN NEVER REMEMBER HIS ORIGINAL LAST NAME)) I said to him, actually feeling a bit of happiness.
"I'll have to get you a key made sometime soon, but for now, would you be okay with staying after school for my son's football practice? It usually doesn't last very long, but if not you could just come up here."
"I could stay after school, I don't mind it. It'd give me some time to work on homework and things," I broke our handshake away, "I usually finish during class, but sometimes I don't."
"What classes do you take? Would you be willing to tutor?" Jack asked, and I nodded.
"I take all AP classes, so yeah, I'd be willing to tutor for your son... Hey who is he by the way?" I asked, thinking about all the guys on the football team.
"Jeremy? You may know him." Jack told me as he sat back down in his chair and continued working on whatever he was working on, and I just stood, my jaw turned to slack.
"Wait wait wait... You're Jeremy's dad...?" I asked, taking a seat before I fell over, "Uh.. Yeah, I do know him. Real nice guy."
"Hmph." Was all Jack really told me.

I walked into their house along with Jack, but right whenever we got in he just went upstairs and closed the door. I just closed the door and looked around, the place wasn't the cleanest... but it also wasn't the absolute worst. I just sat down on the couch and pulled out my reading homework, working on answering some of the questions. Then I heard the door open and a bag hit the wooded floors.
"I'm home, you cunt!" Jeremy called and then a jacket got thrown over my head, I snickered a bit and pulled the jacket off of my head.
"Gee. Thanks. I'm feeling the love." I said, looking over at Jeremy and he jumped.
"Wait- Codin- how... how did you know.. how did you even..." Jeremy stuttered out, stumbling over his words and I set my stuff on the coffee table and I stood up.
"Your dad volunteered to take care of me until I could find a place of my own." I said, walking over to Jeremy, "So, technically we're roommates.."
Jeremy just nodded, "Volunteered to take care of you? What happened?" He asked, his hand closing around mine and he led me up to his room, obviously wanting to talk while he got changed.
"Well... It happened this morning and I actually... don't know what happened." I said, "She was just passed out on the couch and the officers were refusing to let me go near her."
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that, Codin. You really don't deserve that type of shit to happen to you, on top of all that bullying that goes on at school... You're just really sweet, you seem like it at least." Jeremy said, taking his shirt off.
"Hot..." I muttered then I blushed, "I mean, Yeah... you seem sweet too, Jeremy... Also thanks for standing up for me again."
Jeremy nodded then pulled on a tank top that really seemed to fit his body well, I caught myself staring. "So uh... Where will I be staying...?" I asked, trying to make conversation that wouldn't really make me depressed.
"Probably with me. Cunt wouldn't let you sleep in the guest room no matter what." Jeremy said, pulling his jeans off and pulling on some shorts, "But it won't matter, do you cuddle?"
"...Maybe? I don't know. I've never really slept with someone else.." I admitted, rubbing my neck, "And if I do... is that bad?"
Jeremy chuckled and shook his head, turning and resting his hand on his dresser, "As long as it's you- no I don't mind." He said, now walking over beside me and ruffling my hair, "You're tiny so you probably won't have so much body heat."
I just nodded very quickly and smiled, "Yeah... Small and hardly any body heat!" I took that like it was some award that Jeremy was giving me and all my sadness really just seemed to dissipate...
I was going to be sleeping with the linebacker!
