A few days later...
"Babe." Carter spoke softly as he stroked my hair. We laid there with our eyes glued on the beautiful night sky on his roof.
"Yea?" I replied looking up into his beautiful green orbs.
"I have to go away for a while, I don't know how long I'll be gone for, but it'll be a while." He said with sorrow in his voice.
"Oh." I looked down at my feet for a second then back at the sky with teary eyes. "When do you leave?"
"Next week." He said.
A tear slipped out. "Ok." I said trying to sound normal.
A week later...
"I'm gonna miss you." I said hugging Carter like we were the only two left in the world.
"I'm gonna miss you too." He said crying into my neck.
Flight 8A is now boarding
"Good luck on your movie." I said looking into his eyes.
He bent down and kissed my lips passionately. After we shared a moment he boarded the plane.
I watched him get on the plane. When the gate closed I burst into tears and walked out the airport.
Four months later...
"Hey Carter, babe, it's me again. I was just calling to check on you. So, yea, just give me a call when you get a chance. Bye."
I sat in my trailer in silence. My eyes were glued on the floor. Then my phone started ringing again. I hoped it'd be the person I wanted but it wasn't.
"Hey Elizabeth. What's up?" I said in the happiest voice I could muster up.
"Hey um we need you back at set pronto." She said.
"Ok I'll be down soon." I hung up the phone.
Two months later...
"Hi Y/N, I'm sorry I hadn't been in touch like I should have been." Carter said through the phone.
"Oh no it's fine I understand that you've been busy with work and stuff." I reassured.
There was some noise in the background.
"Ok, ok. Babe I have to go. I'll call you back later." He said then hung up the phone.
Tears filled my eyes.
Six months later...
