Doctor Stephen Strange stepped through his sling ring portal and observed his surroundings. He was in the courtyard of Kamar-Taj,the place he had come to so long ago, seeking a cure for his injured hands. He strode purposefully through the hallways stopping only when one of the many sorcerers greeted him with a polite bow. Stephen made his way to the library where he was sure to find Wong, one of his oldest friends and the guardian of this particular library.

"Hello! Anyone home!" Stephen shouted.

Stephen walked farther into the library stopping to stand by the table in the middle as he waited for Wong to appear. Soon Wong came from the back of the library where he had been arranging books on the shelves.

"Well look who finally decided to show up! I'm glad you could take some time off for a visit!" Wong exclaimed as he greeted his friend.

"I don't plan on just visiting this time,Wong,I am staying here at least until the world needs saving again."

"But don't you need to stay in New York to defend the Sanctum there? What if it's attacked? I don't think this is a good idea!"

"Let's suffice it to say that there won't be a problem with that. As the Sanctum's defender I will know when it has come under attack."

Wong didn't seem too convinced but refrained from commenting as Stephen inquired how things were going at Kamar-Taj: were there been any new sorcerers, how fared the other Sanctums, and how was he holding up amid all of this.

"Strange,it's getting late. Why don't we continue this conversation over breakfast tomorrow? I still have books to organize before then." Wong interrupted.

"That's fine with me. Sorry I was keeping you from your work. It was nice talking with you." Stephen said as he left the library to find a room to stay in.

He grabbed a nearby sorcerer and asked where he should stay if he would be here for a while. "Right this way Master Strange. We have just the place for you to stay." the sorcerer said, gesturing down the hallway.

Soon Stephen had all his possessions arranged in the private room he had been given. The room was rather plain, containing only a large bed,a desk with a chair, and a dresser. Stephen shrugged the Cloak of Levitation off his shoulders and instructed it to wake him if anything interesting happened. The cloak floated into a corner as Stephen curled up in the bed without even bothering to change into something easier to sleep in.

It did not seem to be many hours later when the Cloak of Levitation woke him. Stephen yawned and stretched noticing that Wong was standing in the doorway.

"I was right in the middle of dreaming so this had better be important."

"I've been sent to inform you that breakfast is ready. And I'm looking forward to conversing with you while we eat."

"I'll be right there. Just give me a moment to make myself presentable and don't eat everything before I get there."

Wong waited outside his room as Stephen readied himself to have breakfast with the other sorcerers. It was not long before Stephen was ready for the day.

"Let's go! I'm starving!" Stephen exclaimed as he emerged from his bedroom.

As they entered the dining room the sounds of talking and laughter washed over them. Stephen and Wong served themselves and took a seat among the sorcerers who were already eating.

"So. To continue our discussion from last night; we have several new trainees, the other Sanctums have managed quite nicely after being attacked, and I'm not directly involved with all of this, so nothing has changed for me." Wong said all in one breath.
