My name is Lindy, I am the daughter of King Kai. Also known as the ruthless, cold, heartless King of the Vampires. You can say I'm pretty special right?

Wrong.

I don't get treated like a princess, as most people would probably guess. I'm not your average princess that'll lift her pinky while drinking tea from a cup. Smile even when someone is rude to me. People say I have bad manners, true? Nope. I just stand up for what's right. Bad behaviors my ass.

I have an older sister called Lia, she's daddy dearest's favorite daughter. She treats me and others like shit. Oh, and did I forget to mention she's treated as if she's the Queen of England? But eh, she's family.

My mom, you ask? Well, she passed away ten years ago when I was only seven. Ever since mother died, my rebellious side shown through even more, and father took his pain and suffering out on me. Call it a twisted Cinderella story. I was left with my father and sister and surprisingly, my only friend in our mansion. You must be shocked I don't live in a castle, and oh believe me my father has thought about it, but mother was always humble and wanted something small, so my father decided a mansion was small enough.

My friends name is Isabel, she has a kind heart, so it's only normal that she hates the way I'm treated.

For ten, long years I've been cleaning up after every mess my dad makes, every wish and command I must grant, everything my sister wants I give to her. I'm a servant in this damn mansion.

I quickly jumped when I heard yelling coming from my father's room.

"Lindy come over here and clean up this mess!" I hate my father, with every fiber I have in my body. I quickly walked to his room to find paperwork scattered all over the floor, his bed unmade, and him still in his pajamas even though it's 2 pm. I sighed.

"This mess better be cleaned up before I come back." He threatens. Once he says those words he starts getting his fancy attire for God knows what. "Your sister and I are attending a ball tonight, and just to make it clearer, since you're not very bright, you aren't coming." With that, he left the room, and a tear immediately rolled down my cheek. I decided to follow after him.

"Why can't I come?!" I yelled, pain in my voice. He slowly walked towards me, and then slapped me with the back of his hand, I stumbled back. "Don't you dare use that tone with me you little shit. You want to know why you aren't coming?! You're ugly, you're a disgrace. You're an embarrassment. I bet your mother would've felt the same way about you as I do." I couldn't bare hearing that last sentence leave his mouth. I ran. "I bet mother would've loved me for who I was." I whisper

I got to my room and layed down on the bed, crying. "Why... Why must father hate me so much. What have I done wrong." I whimper, my sister suddenly walked into the room. "I'm going to the ball, with father. I'm the mean time I hope you die here all alone." She laughed. I stand up and scream at her. "I don't care! Get out of my room and shut your mouth you bitch!" I yell with all my my might. She shook her head and left. "Thank God she left." I layed back on my bed and took my phone out. I looked at everything humans do. The food, the music, I adore everything about them.

That's when I decide I've had enough. I am to leave this place and go to the human world.

I pack my stuff. My clothes, posters, pictures of my mother, and my diary. A tear rolls down my cheek as I continue packing. I opened the window and jumped out, running as fast as I can through the village. Everyone asleep since the sun is still out. I smile, I'm not a normal vampire. I'm the only vampire in the world who can walk under the sunlight. I've never known why.

I stopped in the forest, panting.
I should be safe here for now by tomorrow I should reach the human world...
