A Chance At Love

Telling Lucius Malfoy

I look at Severus and Stephanie and smile at him making funny faces at her. "You should tell Lucius what has happened." Severus says and looks at me. I smile and say," Field trip then." I then change Stephanie into a cute pink polka dotted dress. I then change into a green, short sleeve, V-neck and black 4 inch open toed high heels. I then pick Steph up and walk towards the living room. I grab her diaper bag, but Severus takes the bag and pushes me towards the fire place. He then hands me the floo powder. I throw the powder and yell ," Malfoy Manor." I step out of the fireplace and watch Severus come out next. "Da da." Stephanie says and reaches for him. "Severus? Is that you?" I look towards the door and see Lucius walk in. Severus takes Steph and pushes me towards him. I look at Lucius and he smirks. "I've heard that you are to marry two men. Am I one of the men you have chosen to marry, since you're here?" Lucius says and looks at Steph. "Pa pa." Steph says and reaches for him. "And who is this?" I look at Steph as he takes her and say ," My daughter. Well now our daughter, Stephanie." Lucius smiles and says," A beautiful name for a princess." I smile as Stephanie grabs hold of his hair. "Now lets go have some tea and discuss this yes?" Lucius says and walks away with Stephanie.  We walk out to the gardens and Stephanie starts to babble while reaching for a silver sparkling rose. "What  are you expecting from this marriage Hermione?" Lucius says and plucks the silver rose and gives it to Stephanie, but not before getting rid of the thorns. "I expect to be respected, to have my spouses be faithful, to have at least some kind of bond with me. To be able to speak my mind, have some time to be myself and not be judged, and the most important one... to be a father to my daughter. She's never had a father figure and I'm hoping that you two will fill in that position. In return, I will be faithful, loyal, I will be what you want me to be." Severus grabs her hand and Lucius grabs the other. "That's all we want. We want you to be happy and feel loved. We will be faithful and loyal to you. We will be there when you need us. We will also be there for Stephanie. We would like to make this work." Lucius then says,"Are you willing to give us a chance?" Hermione laughs and says,"Even though I don't have a choice. I would love to give you a chance." They smile at each other until they hear,"Lucius!" Lucius sighs and pinches his nose before Severus looks behind him. "Oh I didn't know you had company." He turns and looks at a blonde woman with blue sapphire eyes. "What do you want Rachel?" The woman named Rachel looks at me with a evil eye and says," Nothing just wanted to know if you wanted to go swimming later to day?" Lucius sighs and then looks at me then at her annoyed," Why would I want to do that?" He says and looks at Stephanie who is still in his lap. "Oh, she's adorable." Rachel says and looks at me. "Are you from the orphanage. I would love to adopt her." I growl and say," She's my daughter. I'm not from the orphanage. If you could please leave that would be great. We're in the middle of an important meeting." Rachel looks at Lucius and puts on the water works. "Lucy, are you going to let her talk to me like that." He looks at her and says," If my fiance wants to talk to you as she was a second ago then I don't care. You didn't even ask if she was the mother of my soon to be daughter. You just assumed that she worked for the orphanage and that she was giving away a baby... aka her daughter. Are you really that idiotic not to see the resemblance. I mean it's obvious with the nose and shape of the eyes." Rachel looks at Lucius shocked as Severus takes Stephanie and plays with her on the grass away from the argument. "Hermione, love, why don't you go with Severus. I have some important matters to deal with." I nod my head and I'm about to walk past Lucius, but he grabs my arm and pulls me back. Then he kisses my cheek softly. I blush and walk away while hearing Rachel try to tell Lucius that she's better than me. I sigh and sit next to Severus. He smiles at me and I smile back, then we go back to playing with Stephanie. Soon we hear the arguing getting closer. I look up and see Rachel walking straight towards me. I stand and step in front of Stephanie. She steps up into my face and spits on me. "You dirty slut!" She yells in my face. I wipe of her spit and look at her then turn around. She then grabs my hair and throws me onto the ground. I then flip us over and start to hammer punch her in the face. She tries to block the punches, but doesn't do well. I'm then pulled off of her and into warm arms. I look up and see Lucius looking at me with amusement in his eyes. I fall into him and he strokes my head. Rachel gets up off the ground and sneers at me. "You think you're going to get away with this. Just wait until I take you to court." She then walks away and Severus walks up to us carrying Stephanie. "I better be getting home." I say and take Stephanie into my arms. Severus hugs me tightly and says,"Goodbye love." I kiss his cheek and whisper goodbye. "I'm sorry for what happened Hermione. I didn't mean for any of that to happen. Please forgive me." I smile and hug him tightly. "Of course." I then floo home and get everything ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day my parents come to visit. I fall asleep thinking about my day and dream sweet dreams.
