Daten's PoV

I'm running.
Running fast and running far.
I didn't notice I had my eyes closed. That is until I realised when I opened them, I didn't know where I was. "No. . .no no no. NO!" I slam my fist against a tree, scratching my hand a little. "URGH!" I do it again. And again, and again, and again. I hear a noise behind me. I spin around quickly, trying to see what it was. Then I see a shadow run through the trees to my left. "Who's there?" I ask. "I-If you're here t-to hurt me- I-I mean- p-please don't hurt m-me. . ." I start shaking and stuttering, scared of whatever is there. "Grrrrr." I hear a growl from in the trees to my right and start cowering away back towards the pack house. "Scratch scratch scratch!" Sharp nails make contact with the bark on a tree trunk.

Aria's PoV

I stand in the middle of the room, staring in awe at the psychedelic scenery around me. "Holy shit. . ." I say. I turn around and see the guilt on Colton's face. "A-Ari, I'm sorry I yelled at Daten. . ." He apologizes, hanging his head. I come to a sudden realisation. Daten's not here. That's right! I think to myself. "We have to find him!" I panic and run out the door, almost tripping. "Wait! We'll need some back up. You start heading for the woods, I'll find Brint and Zeak!" He shouts after me. I have to find him. I left him alone when he needed me. God! I'm such a horrible friend! I scold myself for leaving my best friend. . .

A few minutes pass while I'm walking through the pack house. Colton shows up with Brint and his friend Zeak. "What happened?" Colton's younger brother asks. "Daten is off in the woods and we need to find him." I reply with a determined attitude. Brint looks down near his feet, worry written all over his face.

Brint's PoV (didn't see that one coming, did ya?)

I stare down at my feet while I walk towards the woods, thinking to myself. Is this my fault? Is it because I said no? Oh God. . . what if something happens to him? It'll be my fault. It is my fault. . . all because I was too anxious and just let my mind choose randomly! GODDAMNIT! THIS IS MY FAULT! We reach the woods and hear fast footsteps.

Daten's PoV

I start running. Running in a random direction that I hope leads back to the pack house. The trees start cleaning away as I run in the direction I chose. I hear voices getting louder as I get closer. "Daten!?" I hear a familar voice call out. As I run into a clearing, the first person I see is Brint. I run towards him, tears in my eyes, jump up, and wrap my arms around his neck. "Brint!" I let out a small sob and burry my face into his shoulder. "Hey. . . it's okay. You're alright now." I feel him smile gently, wrapping his arms around my back. "Maybe you two should get to a room and talk." Aria says. I gasp and Brint let's me go so I'm able to run up and hug my best friend. "Ari!" I yell. I hug her tightly and let go. "You waited here for me?" I ask. "Of course!" The multicolor haired girl replies. "As I was saying, y'all should go talk." "Correction, they need to talk." Colton adds. Colton. . . I go back to Brint and look up at him. "Well, you heard 'em." I say. "Yep." Brint holds his hand out for me to take. I don't hesitate to grab it and start running with him.

Aria's PoV

Brint and Daten run off somewhere to talk. Meanwhile, Colton and I are walking back to his room. "I'm really sorry Aria." Colton apologizes again. "It's fine." I reply looking up at him. "You're sure?" "Yes!" I try putting my arm around his shoulders, but fail miserably. "Hey, wolves have mates, right?" I ask. "Yeah. Why?" "Do you ever wonder who your mate is?" His expression freezes. "Oh. . . I'm- I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything." He stops and takes my hand. "No! No no no no no! It's fine. I don't have to wonder because I already kmow who my mate is." He smiles softly at me. He. . .already has a mate? I didn't see any marks. Maybe his mark is hidden somewhere I can't see. . . Or maybe he hid it. I think he saw the disappointment in my eyes because he hugs me tightly. "It's not a bad thing you know." He tells me. "What?" He pulls away and looks me in the eyes. "Come on. I need to ask you something in private." We then take off running towards his room.
Once we get to the neon colored location, he looks me in the eye again. "Aria. . ." He steps closer. "C-Colton?" I stutter. He leans further in and-

He leans further in and puts his lips on mine. They're slightly chapped, but I don't care. After my quick moment of shock, I start to kiss back, putting my arms around his neck. He lifts me up as I wrap my legs around his waist. Colton falls back onto his bed and are sweet gentle kisses start getting more passionate and rough. He pulls away, both of us panting a little. "Aria, will you go out on a date with me?" He asks. "Of course! But on one condition." He looks at me in confusion. "What's that?" "You have to wear whatever I pick out for you to school tomorrow." I reply. "Damn. . ." Colton thinks for a minute. "Fine. I'll do it for you." He answers. "Yes!" I fist pump the air. "Well, we better get ready to go." He smiles and I smile back. "Can't wait."
