After the battle Harry hugged his mother tighter than he knew that he could. She kissed his forehead and wiped the tear from his cheek as she got to her feet when she saw his friends Hermione and Ron coming towards him. "I'll leave you with your friends, for now I have to attend to your uncle's funeral arrangements," she said as she patted him on the shoulder and turned away from the teens and walked slowly towards where she had left Severus's body.
"So mate, how does it feel to be the owner of the most powerful wand in the wizarding world," asked Ron eyeing the elder wand in Harry's hand?
"Power like this should never have the chance of falling into the wrong hands again," he said as he pulled the broken pieces of his old wand out of his pocket and placed them onto his lap.
"Harry, do you think that the elder wand can fix your old wand," asked Hermione?
"We'll find out in a second, Reparo," he said as he pointed the elder wand at the pieces of his wand. To their amazement the pieces of his old wand glowed then mended itself as if it had never been broken in the first place. Harry grasped his wand and felt the familiar and comforting tingle of his magic flowing through the wand as the tip lit up. He suddenly snapped the elder wand and tossed it into the black lake where it would never be used for evil again.
That summer Harry enjoyed life with his mother and his younger brother and sister Regulus and Eileen. He found that he liked life with a loving family. One day before they were to return to Hogwarts where Harry would be taking his seventh year with the rest of his class mates and his mother would be taking over the post of potions professor that was once held by her brother, he knocked on his mother's bedroom door where the twins were busy crawling around after Creature everywhere that he went.
"Mum, can I talk to you?"
"Sure you can Harry, what's on your mind," asked Eden as she shrunk her belongings and that of the twins and levitated it into her open trunk?
"Mum, I understand why uncle Severus didn't tell me the truth until he died, but why didn't you come for me all of those years ago," asked Harry as he looked down at his feet?
"Believe me when I say that staying away from you was the hardest thing that I ever had to do, son. It was not what I wanted, but had I kept you, your grandfather would have killed you, and I couldn't have that. When I gave you to Lilly and James Potter, I had no idea that my father would attack you. For that I am so sorry. I will spend the rest of my life making it right. You've suffered so much because of my decision, and I will never let you suffer again," she said as she sat beside him on her bed and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, kissing his head.
"I love you mum," said Harry as he melted into her arms.
"I love you too, Harry. I'll love you and your brother and sister until the day that I die," said Eileen as a tear fell from her eye onto her cheek. Harry wiped the tear away and got to his feet.
"Don't cry mum, is there anything that you need packed in here, or can I take your trunk downstairs for you," he asked wiping the tear from her cheek?
"Yes, you get the trunks and I'll get your brother and sister.
Harry and the other students of Hogwarts greatly loved their new potions professor. She made learning potions much more fun, and easy to understand. A year after his graduation, Harry and Ginny were married to the great joy of his mother and the entire Weasley family. When Regulus and Eileen became of age to attend Hogwarts Their mother was the new headmistress chosen by Minerva McGonagall, who went into retirement the year before. Ron, and Harry both became Aurors, and Hermione became the new transfiguration professor. The wizarding world was from then on at piece and all was right in the world.
The End.
