One night before

the so called "gift" was turning to be a curse. she remembered when Athena gave it to her the night they first sailed the Argo 2 to the roman camp.

she was on mt. Olympus, form what she could tell. it was the mt. Olympus she designed form the ground up. "beautiful isn't it." Annabeth turned to see Athena there in a blue t shirt, and jeans, with her hair braided down to her waist. "mom." Annabeth breathed. "is it that obvious." Athena rolled her eyes but still smiling "I'm afraid i come with... news." her smile vanished. "good or..." Annabeth said before she was cut off. "just news not good or bad, see i come with a gift and a curse, its my mark." "mark? why? will it kill me? will it help me? what does it...." "all in good time my daughter, the giant the seven faces can control your mind make you think evil thoughts, make you do evil things. see the mark will burn when he tries to get in to your or your allies head. it will drain you but will save you." Athena reached out for her arm, Annabeth shied away. "can it kill me?" Athena looked straight in to her eyes with so much sorrow. Annabeth gulped but put out her arm. Athena clamped her hand right her bicep. Annabeth felt such sering pain she felt like crumpling to dust, she felt fire creeping in her soul sering it leaving it scared. the burning stopped.

Annabeth looked on her arm right where the mark was covered by her sleeves. Athena told her to not mention it to anyone since if the giant heard he could kill her. she sighed. she felt so sad and angry all the time now. she never tried to be mean to Leo or Piper or... sometimes Jason. she felt like saying sorry but her pride stopped her.

when the ship landed she ran for the door. Leo just stood there. she felt like saying "move i want to see Percy." but she didn't. Leo walked out and Annabeth ran past him. and saw Percy she ran towards him. Percy dropped his sword plus his jaw he ran towards her, they embraced each other and kissed better then every other kiss ever maybe even better then the underwater kiss. once they broke away she just buried her head in his shirt. gods she missed him. he just kept his arms around her not wanting to let go. she looked behind her and looked up at Piper and Jason then looked down to see the entire roman camp in formation ready to attack she asked "what's with them?" Percy laughed. she missed his laugh. "they think you'r going to kill them." "really!" Annabeth thought that was crazy. she would never attack the roman camp. then her mark stared to burn she clutched it. then a whisper in her ear said "yes you will."
