Chapter 2

Camila sat in Camerons passenger seat.

"God this light sucks!" He groaned.

She stayed quiet.

Cameron turned to her. "You've been different." He said with no emotion. "What's wrong with you."

She looked down. "Nothing."

"Quit acting like that." He said looking forward.

They arrived at school. Camila got out of the car and met up with her friends.

"Hey Mila." Dinah said.

"Hey." She smiled back.

"What'd you do last night? We missed you." Ally said.

Camila thought about telling them, but didn't know if she should.

"You missed our girls night." Lauren said.

"I.." she looked around and saw Shawn talking to a girl. He looked so nice, his smile was extra bright. "I was with Shawn Mendes." She said softly.

She looked at her friends who had their mouths gaped open.

"Shawn? The choir kid?" Lauren said.

"Yeah.." Camila said. "He's nice."

"He's- he's ugly. And weird." Dinah said."

"He's not ugly." Camila argued.

"What about Cameron?" Normani asked.

"Me and Shawn didn't do anything? What about Cameron?" Camila got defensive.

"We aren't saying that.." Lauren said softly.

"Shawn is ugly." Dinah said.

Normani laughed. "That lazy eye."

Camila smiled and looked at him. "I love his lazy eye."

They all stared at her.

Cameron walked up. "So you just walk away?" He said, a little loud.

She looked at him and felt eyes stare at her. "Cameron don't start an argument here."

He grimaced at her. "You're such a bitch now a'days."

"Don't yell at her." Dinah took a step forward.

"Whatever. I'm dropping it." He made eye contact with her before he walked away.

Camila walked off and went to class. She texted Shawn.

Hang out with me today. - Camila

Haha, okay. - Shawn.

Shawn knocked on Camilas door, she opened up after a little. She smiled. "Hey."

Shawn smiled back. "Hey."

She moved aside and he walked in. "Smells good in here." He said.

She giggled. "You can stay for dinner."
