Heartbreak (Marichat)

Chapter 1

Radiant, carefree, dreamy, Adrien, the fragrance...

"Marinette!''

"Radiant..."

''Marinette!"

Marinette snapped her head up to see the teacher standing right in front of her. Everyone exploded into laughter; including Adrien, to her dismay. Marinette felt her cheeks heat up and hid her face with her hands, not knowing how to deal with the situation without Alya. She ran to the bathroom to find something she was definitely not looking for, especially now.

Chloe.

Chloe rolled her eyes and said meanly, "what's wrong with you," Marinette did not answer. She ran into the bathroom stall, took out her phone, and texted her mom a phony excuse to get out of school. Marinette was embarrassed beyond belief. What hurt her the most was that Adrien laughed. She never knew he could be so cruel. All Marinette ever thought about was him, obviously.

Once Marinette got home she ran to her room and immediately tore down all of her posters of Adrien. When she was to the last poster she took it with her and went to her balcony. Marinette held the poster close to her heart then tore it apart while tears streamed down her rosy cheeks. When the poster was halfway torn a visitor appeared on the edge of her balcony.

''Chat Noir?" Marinette asked quietly while she looked upward.

"Yes, what's wrong princess?"Chat Noir asked softly with a hint of curiosity in his tone.

"Nothing," Marinette answered while rubbing the tears off of her face and trying to hide the half torn poster.

"It does not look like nothing," Chat Noir said while hopping off of the edge and reaching over to grab the poster. Marinette had very fast reflexes since she was Ladybug so she was able to swat Chat Noir's hand away, but Chat Noir's reflexes were faster, so Marinette just swatted at the air. Chat Noir look at the ripped poster and his eyes got huge but before he turned around they went back down. Marinette yelled, "Give it back!" Then snatched the poster out of his hands with force and anger.

"I'm uh, sorry" Chat Noir said with sympathy. "But I must ask why are you ripping your poster up?" Chat Noir said confused.

"Well since the cat is out of the bag I might as well tell you." Chat Noir chuckled at her joke. "Today in class I was not paying attention to the teacher, she noticed and called on me, and I ended up saying what I was thinking," Marinette said soft and slow.

"And what was that?" Chat Noir asked. He wanted to scream I'm sorry because he knew he was Adrien, he knew everyone laughed at her, including him. Chat Noir couldn't say it because she had no idea that it was Adrien under the mask. He felt horrible for laughing, he knew it was wrong, Chat Noir even felt worse now because he made Marinette cry. "Do you know the ad for the body fragrance called, um, Adrien?" Marinette asked shyly.

"Yes..."Chat Noir said.

"Well when the teacher called on me I said the ad's words to describe Adrien, and everyone began to laugh at me including Adrien..." Marinette said trailing off.

"Oh," was all Chat Noir could squeeze out of his lips. Chat Noir did a fake cough to try and change the mood, it did not work very well. They sat there for a few minutes in awkward silence, then they heard people screaming."Oh I should um go I have an akuma to catch," Chat Noir said. "Yeah, goodbye" Marinette said.

Chat Noir ran off to where the screams were coming from. Marinette ran downstairs and out her home to a dumpster and hid behind it. Then Marinette yelled, "Tiki Spots On!" Marinette transformed into Ladybug! Chat Noirs partner, Ladybug ran to where the akuma was.

When Marinette returned home she went to her room to take a shower. Marinette went into her bathroom, took off her clothes, and got into the shower. Marinette washed her body then hair. When Marinette went to rinse out her shampoo it got in her eyes. The whole time her eyes were closed in pain she could only see Adrien... When Marinette got out of the shower she put on her most comfy clothes and went to her balcony.
The sky was beautiful that night, the stars were shining so bright, but when she looked at the time she couldn't enjoy it for long.
