Later that day I had Ellington take me back to the gym so I could fix my car. I couldn't get her started when I tried to jump it so I had to call a tow truck.

"Where am I taking her this time, Steph?" Kendal asked as she raised my car up onto the truck. I have known her for years. She was always the one I called when I couldn't get the car started. It's actually how we met.

"To my place, on fifth and Avondale?" I said with a wink. Kendal just laughed and shook her head as she got in her truck.

"Need a lift today?" She asked as she ran her fingers through her golden blonde hair.

"No, I have one, thanks though" I said glancing back at Ellington. She was standing against her car and smoking a cigarette. I hadn't noticed that she smoked before. You definitely couldn't smell it on her.

"Well I'll meet you there then" Kendal said raising an eyebrow at me and driving off. I made my way back over to Ellington and smiled.

"Would you be up for hanging out with me a little longer today?" I asked looking at her. She seemed sad and I figured that's why she was smoking.

"Yeah definitely" she said blankly.

"Are you okay? You seem upset" I said watching as she took a long drag from her cigarette.

"Oh um yeah. Liam's trip was extended and now he doesn't know when he will be back. That's why I'm smoking. It makes me nervous when his trips that are only supposed to last three days and get extended" she said putting it out and looking at me closely. I gave her a soft, reassuring smile and we got in the car.

"I have a shop on the corner of Fifth and Avondale, that is where Kendal is taking Ivy" I said looking over at her.

"You're on a first name basis with your tow truck driver? what did you guys hook up or something?" she said with a slight laugh. I just kind of looked at her in confusion. I never said anything to her about being gay.

"Um, yeah" she looked almost hurt "but how did you know that I'm gay?" I asked skeptically.

"You do realize the town we live in right, and I also looked you up on Instagram and your posts make it pretty obvious" she said laughing

"You cyber stalked me? Seriously?" I asked laughing. I have to give it to her though, if you really wanna know if the rumors are true you have to go straight to the source.

"Yes, yes I did. I wanted to know more about you" she said driving to the shop.

"Well next time just ask. I don't have a problem telling you things; which is weird because I don't talk to anyone about anything personal" I said as she pulled up next to Kendal's truck.

"Yes ma'am" she said sarcastically. I got out and walked towards Kendal.

"So how much do I owe you?" I asked as I hugged her from behind.

"How about dinner tonight?" Kendal asked turning to face me. I smiled and nodded. I had always had a crush on her but all we ever did when we got together was have sex and that's all it ever seemed like she wanted. So you can imagine my surprise when she asked me to dinner.

"I'll pick you up at seven?" I asked as Ellington walked up "Oh um Ellie, Kendal; Kendal, Ellie" I said with a slight blush. They exchanged their hellos.

"Is there a bathroom here?" Ellington asked looking at me.

"First door on your right as soon as you walk in" I said handing her my keys. She walked into the building and left Kendal and I there alone.
