Third Person POV (time skip)
"Hey, Ethan um can we talk?" Veronica questioned, her heart bouncing, she was afraid to hurt Ethan's feelings. "Yeah, hey what's up Roni?" He greeted, Now Veronica was really nervous, she was thinking of reasons to avoid the topic now that she thought about it, well too late she has to do what's best for her and Ethan's friendship.
"Well, you see, I've been meaning to ask you, if we ever date, will it, um, you know, be all right?" She Asked, immediately regretting what she just said, "what do you mean? I mean, we haven't tried it so, how would we know?" He Answered, Veronica knew he was right about that, but she's afraid, she's afraid if their friendship will end, she's afraid what would be the outcome, and how she would overcome it. Those thoughts came tumbling down into her head, she was completely perplexed on what to say next.
"Ethan, I don't think WE should happen" She states, emphasising WE, Ethan was shook ,but then nodded in agreement, "Roni, I know what's up, you don't want to break our friendship, is that right?" He was on point about that statement, now Roni is also shook, "Roni, the feelings are mutual, I never really said we should be in a relationship, I just really like you, that's all" Roni now understands, all this time Ethan really liked her, but never wanted it official because of their mutual feelings. "Friends?" , "Friends" Ethan smiled, he wishes to never end this friendship till they die.
" HEY RONI" Vanessa screamed " Is your daddy a drug dealer" Vanessa started, "Coz you're dope" she grinned, Grayson then ran beside her puffing, Veronica thought "how long have they been running?", Roni being the smartass she is, said "that wouldn't really work Nessa, I'm your sister, and if it would be logical, you'd know that Daddy is a drug dealer " "Roni, be glad, I literally complimented you, and that's what I get in return?" Nessa asks obviously pissed, Ethan and Grayson are just laughing at the twin sisters having this mini drama about how it's not logical and how it's just a pick up line.
Ethan thought ' was this friendship inevitable?'
Inevitable or not, he was thankful for this group of friends.
