Mum's POV

In mid afternoon, I end a heart-wrenching call with my daughter Hayden, with dry tears outlining my eyelids. She has just told me she is expecting a child, and we are not financially in shape to care for a child. I have enough on my plate, with the endless hospital transfers and if that wasn't enough, my other five daughters to care for. With my ingrained sense of motherhood, caring for myself with so much to worry about is unheard of. Though everyone feels sorrow for Trinity, including me, I am often worried about my other children. One day, Trinity will have to turn her cold hands up and feel along the brim of harsh reality.

Trinity's POV

As Hayden slowly drifts into my room earlier than she's supposed to, I know she had told Mother. Her well-blended mix of mascara and eyeliner streams down her face in a dry creek, slowly curving over her cheekbone, as if it were a steep hill. Usually, I'd break the silence on a normal day and flash a smile over to her, but today was simply not a normal day. Today, I just sprawled out on my bed while monitors beeped as I glared at her seemingly-glum face. After a long few moments of slow moving silence, the sound of blaring sirens and deep red light fill my room as ambulances roll by, slicing and dicing our silence to nothing but shards. "You told her," I say, so calmly, because it is the only emotion overtaking the rest of my mixed emotions. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. My emotions have been woven together into a basket containing my soul. She nods, and I just go off to the Heavens, because I simply couldn't stand being around her much longer. As I slowly glide up, my face is distorted by  the ways of the wind and force. My wings begin to develop as I get closer and closer to my destination. I feel the happiness tug at the rest of my emotional basket as the feelings collapse and I'm overtaken by pure excitement. I arrive at my Heavenly Estate, and I am alone. I slowly begin to realize that I have never gone beyond this room. I opened my dresser drawer, which seemed to be full of some sort of useful fairy dust. It almost looked as if it were remains of a torn-away sugar cloud. I grab it, hoping that if I need to defend myself, the powder will help in some way. I open the door and see a grand lobby-looking room with ceilings that seemed to never stop. In the middle of the room is a white fountain outlined with gold. Though it is a fountain, it was not flowing with water. I walk over to the fountain as I touch the liquid, as it is hot and steaming, as a sign of strength. I walk away from the fountain and continue on with my journey. I open the next door I can find and what I'm greeted with is truly unexpected. I stand helpless, staring at it with wide eyes. It's here.
