I walk a few steps closer
Careful not to slip and wither
Hurry! and don't look down
These steps are the steepest and endless
I arrive to a smile in the entry
There are so many smells, noises and people around me
I don't know if I will suffocate or make it to my seat
When I finally find the letters that guide me
The seat is warm and hard
The weather here can either be too hot or too cold
My hands are trembling anxiously
This is one of my favorite places in the world
Not for how it looks but for how it feels and what it can do
I maintain my patience for more than I thought I could
Counting the minutes for takeoff
Take me away from here
Far away from all I know
The shaking of my hands matches the one everyone feels
Keep your head up, buckle up, and hang on tight
Relax and enjoy the ride
It lifts me up and my heart goes up to my mouth
This wonderful, incredible and indescribable feeling
Nothing can ever be as good as this
