1 ~ Hi...

M O L L Y - M A Y

I sat up in my seat seeing the new kids walk in that everybody was talking about. I heard they all live together, but I don't judge or anything. I rolled my eyes seeing all the girls act like they were the way to heaven. They were all over them and fixing their clothes to show skin and tempt the boys. I watched Mr. Moon come in along with my brother Kenneth. He sat next to me and we did our handshake. "Caught up with Angie?" "Yeah, I bought her a gift." "Awww, I see you big bro." He was only older than me by two minutes, but he acted like it was 8 years. "Shut up goofy." I laughed until Mr. Moon quieted everyone down and started the period off. 

"Alright as you know, finals are in two weeks, The board of education requires all school in the district to take these next two weeks and use them for studying, practicing, getting your grades up, and of course getting the help you need. You may use your phones, but use earbuds or headphones if listening to music. You're free." Kenny and I looked at each other before scrambling to get our notes out. I was absent yesterday so I didn't the study guide or the notes he handed out. "Kenny do me a favor."

"What?" "Can you ask him to give the stuff he handed out yesterday?" "He's just gonna tell me to make you ask him, it's been a whole year in this class. I know you can't still be this shy." I grumbled before getting up and mushing his head on the way to Mr. Moons desk. He was built like Dwayne Johnson and had a permanent Ice Cube type of mug on his face, but then again, I was shy around everybody. 

I felt people staring at me as I went to his desk making me take a deep breath. "Uh...Mr. Moon?" "Ms. Rose? What can I do for you?" "W-w-well , I um, I was absent yesterday so I-I-I didn't get  the handouts." "No problem." I nodded keeping my head down as he gave it to me, "I'm sure your brother can help you with the adjustments we made to the paper." "Th-th-thank you." I quickly turned around only to see that group of boys all staring at me, some had mugs, others had emotionless faces. There was one darkskin who was beyond handsome to me and he looked at me with a smirk before giving me a toothless smile. 

It made me feel better until all the girls were giving them massages and sitting on their laps. I kept it moving and sat next to my brother. "Was that so hard?" "I had a mental seizure." He snickered and I socked his arm making him pout. "Now help me with these notes." "First you hit me, then you demand to be helped..." "You're right...Kenny help me before I tell Roscoe you ate his powdered doughnuts." "Not today Satan, lemme help you." I laughed as he helped me.

10 minutes before the bell was gonna ring Mr. Moon started with grade announcements . He did everyday saying the top 5 people with the highest overall grade in our class. "Alright, time to announce the top grades." He was saying people's names until he got to number 1 and we hadn't heard our names. Me and Kenny always had a competition to see who had the highest grade in the class, every class.

"And for number one, Kenny and Lo are tied." We both stood up, "Wait, what?" "You guys are twins so you should've seen it coming." "What's the percentages?" "Both of you have 106%." "Actually, I came prepared." I took out some extra credit and Kenny gave me the Swaggy P face. I turned it in and my grade went to 111%. "You now have 111%. Sorry Kenny you're #2." "Run my fade Lo!" "Bet!" We both squared up making everybody laugh before the bell rang. We grabbed our stuff and rushed out. He hugged me before going to his locker and I went to mine.

I put all of my books away except the ones I needed to study with. I closed my locker and the dark skin from earlier was standing there. I covered my mouth when I gasped making him chuckled. I zipped up my backpack and kept my head down. "I'm Ski, what's ya name?" "Um..Lo.." "Nice to meet you." I just simply nodded trying to go around him, but he blocked my way on purpose, "Wait...You and your brother can eat with us tomorrow if you guys want." "Thanks..." "Can I walk you out?" I nodded keeping my eyes on the floor.

We started walking out the building and he started asking questions when we got to the sidewalk, "Why are you so shy and quiet?" I simply shrugged before my big brother Roscoe pulled up in his Range Rover. He's the biggest drug dealer in the city, so nobody messed with him. Him and Ski had a little stare down until Kenny came out with Angie. "I um..I gotta go." "Okay, ill see you during breaks tomorrow right?" "Uhhh..we'll see?" It came out as more of a question and he smiled. 

I hopped in the front seat while Kenny and Angie sat together in the back. Roscoe glanced at me, "How you know him?" "I don't, he came to me...he's weird." "She ain't lyin Ro. They new kids and he been starin at her all day. Maybe he likes her." "Don't get involved with him, Make sure he knows what he's dealin with." I nodded and nervously played with my fingers. I have bad self- esteem so the odds were close to none of me having friends. Me and Angie have been closer though, maybe she can help me with my social skills...
