Here and gone ; j.m.b

I uncover my eyes to see my mother holding a small, rectangular box wrapped in the most beautiful color of blue "can I open it right now?" I happily say to my mother "of course you can sweetheart, I hope you love it!" She says back.
I open the box to find a gold iPhone 7 inside
"Oh.my.god. Thank you so m~"
"You've earned it" she quietly says
I didn't really get what she meant by saying I've earned a phone but I just brushed it off and gave her a gentle smile

I see my doctor slowly open the door with a clipboard in her hand signaling my mom to meet with her outside my hospital room, but being the nosy person I am I just sat quietly listening to the conversation
Doctor: "Ashley can be released today but you will have to keep her safe and have a close eye on her, she is still a little weak from all the meds and tests we've done on her"
Mom: "ok but will she get to do any activities?"
Doc: "it will take at least 24 hours for her to get all her strength back, but right now she just needs rest"
"Haha she admitted I'm strong" I quietly laughed to myself
A couple minutes later my mom walked in with a soft smile on her face and lightly said "you finally get to leave"
I smile back
It took a couple hours till I got to leave but that's because they wanted to make sure I was good to go. As they're rolling me down the hallway we finally get to the sign out desk
Doc: "ok ashley, you're officially good to go" she says
I get off the wheelchair and walk down the hall with my mother, I could tell she was scared too scared to let me be in the outside world as a matter of fact my mother says the world is living hell full of bad people, but she over exaggerates too much haha
We finally reach the door but I stop dead in my tracks slowly putting my hands on the doorknob
"This is your big moment ashley" I mumble to myself. Being in a hospital for 15 years is like hell I've never stepped on actual grass, I've never gotten the chance to breathe in the fresh air of nature, never interacted with people my age. I slowly open the door and step out the hospital as I hear the birds singing their beautiful songs "oh my gosh... its so.... too bright!" I laugh and squint my eyes as the sun hits my face
"Well don't look up!" My mother laughs

I step out the car to see a beautiful 2 story house. being distracted by the green grass I finally hear my mother shout "hi Jen!" I look up to see a lady with black or just really dark brown hair I couldn't tell because she was on the other side of the car
"Hi Christina!" The lady says back to my mom
"Well who is this" she asks my mom
"This is my daughter Ashley"
"Hi Ashley I'm Jen" she reaches out her hand for who knows why. My mother tell me to grab her hand and lightly shake it so I did as said
"Uh sorry, she doesn't know much because she came from the hospital and is on meds so" my mother lied
What.... she- omg my mother is embarrassed that I'm here. She doesn't want me
"Oh that makes sense"
I hear a door close and it came from Jen's house someone walked out but I was too embarrassed to even look
"Um I'm gonna go inside" I turn around and start to walk away I hear faded voices of my mother and a boy
Right as my mom was about to say something
I close the door. I look and explorer around my house to find my room after I find it knowing it's mine because it says "Ashley" on the door, I walk in to find a plain bedroom with barley anything in it "wow" I let out a sigh and close the bedroom door behind me. I look in the closet and find nothing but a pretty red diary with a lock on it I pick up the diary and open it.. nothing "oh, well ok" I close the diary and lay on my bed slowly drifting to sleep
