Secrets

Chapter 2

After Toby and I walked back to the cabin, it started raining really hard and it wouldn't let up. Apparently, the lightning struck some poles and wires outside which is causing black out in our area, there's no service in my area either.
"Wow, Doesn't look like this rain will want to let up anytime soon now, Huh?"
Toby tries to start up a conversation while I'm drying the wolves off.
"Yeah doesn't look like it'll happen anytime soon..."
I start trailing off when suddenly a loud crackling sound brings me back to reality.
"Amber? Amber!"
Next thing I know I'm on the floor and Toby is hovering over me. "Let's get you to bed, you look deathly pale right now."
Toby sets me up and cautiously brings me to my feet. I wobble a little bit, but other than that I'm fine. Toby is ushering me to go into the bedroom to lie down, with the wolves following closely behind.  Hours later I wake up to find the alpha male sitting beside my bed. Just him and I alone in the room.
"Toby? Hello?"
And cautiously getting out of bed and suddenly a crashing sound echos throughout the house. I walk out of the room with the Alpha behind me. I reach the living room and see blood splattered against the wall.
"Toby?!"
I turn my head towards the source of the blood just in time to witness a huge black creature crawling out of the window.
"Am-ber?Is that you?"
I watch is Toby slowly wakes up and gets his consciousness back. He's loud groans bring tears to my eyes, I rush over to the other side of the room and kneel beside his limp body.  I scanned his body only to find bruises and blood covering him. I quickly take my phone out and try dialling 911 then I remember, no service. The colour for my face slowly disappears and I begin feeling lightheaded. The last thing I remember is the creature grabbing toby and staring at me with blood red eyes.
