Sun: The sun is mistaken for a planet, but known as a star we need this to heat our planet.
Mercury: This planet is quite weird! It has no rings and NO moon. imagine a year that's a day on this planet!
Venus: Venus is the second planet from the Sun, orbiting it every 224.7 Earth days. It has the longest rotation period of any planet in the Solar System
Earth: Our home! We are in the Goldilocks zone which means its not to hot or too cold!
Mars: It used to have running water but then it dried up! It takes 30 years to go there, its the fastest planet to go to!
Jupiter: Before earth and these planets, there were UGLY ROCK PLANETS. Then one day Jupiter came zooming in and VAVOOOMMMMMM, the rock planets collided and turned into our solar system!
Saturn: is a gas giant and is composed of similar gasses including hydrogen, helium and methane and the second largest planet in our solar system.
Uranus; Uranus makes one trip around the Sun every 84 Earth years, it is usually called: Ice giant because its the coldest planet!
Neptune: Neptune is the eighth planet from the Sun making it the most distant in the solar system.
