"I went down, down, down and the flames went higher-"

[In short, reader is insane, Hilton is a best friend, and you both kinda escaped jail and made a run for it]

"C'mon Valentine! They're gettin' closer and closer!" You yelled back at your closest friend and partner in crime, Hilton Valentine. Currently you two had somehow managed to escape prison and were now on the run. Or as of now, on bikes.

"(Y/n)! I know that! They're closer to me than to you!" Hilton cried out. He didn't want to be a runaway, but you kinda dragged him into this predicament. After all, you were slightly insane and a mischief maker while Hilton was a friendly and agreeable guy.

How you both got into prison in the first place was because of you wanting to rob a bank, a jewlry store, and unleashing several crude pranks on citizens. You had tricked poor Hilton into coming along with you, and it actually worked. Stealing and such things as that was all fun and games for you. Your world felt very surreal compared to the average person's world. You couldn't really tell what you were doing was ALL that bad.

"YEE HAW!" You yelled out giddily. The thrill of the chase was getting to you and making you feel alive! Being a runaway was like a game for you. You had to try to stay away from the police long enough to try to make a new record while doing so. Your current record was 5 hours, but as of now you were both on the run for 4 hours and 30 minutes.

You worked differently from everyone else. You were always happy and was always grinning really creepily. You couldn't really express more emotions than excitement, which was a problem. You always did something bad just for the fun of it and never realized how badly it could've effected others. Reality never had a grip on you, and fantasy fogged up your mind.

Hilton was always there for you, trying to talk you out of bad decisions and making sue you accidently wouldn't kill yourself. You didn't know how he managed to do that for that long. But no matter how hard he tried to get you out of trouble, it never worked and he'd always end up coming along on your excursions.

"(Y/n)! THEY'RE GETTING EVEN CLOSER!" Hilton called out, sounding very alarmed. You slammed on the brakes of your bike and threw it off into the nearby ditch. Then you ran for it.

"Leave your bike in the ditch!" You screamed at Hilton, then grinned evily. "Its time to go in the woods..."

"Are you sure about this? We're going to get into even MORE trouble now! Can't we just turn ourselves in already-" Hilton's words went into one ear and out the other. For the most part, you ignored him. What a great friend you were.

"NEVER SURRENDER!" You screamed and started off deeper and deeper into the woods.

"Oh great," Hilton sighed and casually set his bike in the ditch and went after you,"here we go again."

It was summer time, and the forest had a lot of vegetation in it along with thick leave which would be perfect to hide in. It had rained not to long ago, and with the sun out, the air was very sticky. You wouldn't be able to keep running on for much longer with this weather.

"(Y/n)! Wait up!" Hilton clammered over a fallen tree in the woods, struggling to catch up to you.

"The police waits for no one!" You ran even faster than before, making Hilton have to go faster.

"Please (Y/n)! Have some common sense-"

"AGH!" You suddenly screamed out when a large obstacle sat in your way.

"(Y/n)!" Hilton called out to you, sounding concerned for your safty.

"Valentine, I'm sorry to say this but," You heisitated, "we're at the end of the line."

"Huh?" The end of the woods was near, and Hilton quickly made his way out of it and onto a small grassy area. The sun almost blinded him, so he had to shield his eyes from it and that caused him to stumble around. He held his arms out, trying to find you. "(Y/n)? (Y/n)!"

A hand suddenly grabbed onto Hilton's arm, pulling him back from something. It was you who was pulling him back, and you held him in your arms like you were hugging him obsessively.

"Ack! (Y/n) Let-Go-" Hilton struggled to say. But you were holding onto him really tightly, like a boa constrictor. How fun.

Hilton blinked his eyes open slowly and saw that he was right on the edge of a cliff. A large rapid was flowing below with great ferocity and power. It was a long way down.

"Thanks," He muttered after you let him go from your tight embrace.

"You're absolutely welcome!" You gave him a toothy grin and was about to add onto your sentence before the deafening, roaring noise of a helicopter cut through the air.

"EEEE! TURN IT OFF!" You screamed as if Hell was coming to Earth. You covered your ears very tightly to try to block out the noise, but it didn't work too well.

Hilton was covering up his ears too. "(Y/n)! IT'S TIME TO GIVE UP! THE POLICE CHOPPER IS HERE!"

"Ehh?" You caught a few words of what he said and from there you assumed what he said. "There's a handy river down there! We can escape!"

"ARE YOU INSANE!" Hilton exclaimed. "We'll die for sure if we even attempt the jump!"

"STOP! YOU ARE NOW UNDER ARREST!" A bunch of blue clad police officers and their leashed up dogs burst out of the woods. The one in the middle who had a megaphone was yelling at the two of you.

"We're in some deep sh*t right now," Hilton looked back at you worriedly, showing a small glint of fear in his eyes.

You hardened your expression and stood up completely straight. "NO SURRENDER!" You screamed at the police officers. This made them very mad. They all ran forward, a few with guns in their hands, and the others with handcuffs.

"(Y/n)! What did you do that for-" Hilton managed to glare at you (he almost never glares!) before you decided to do something a bit brash.

You smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodbye my love, see you on the other side."

And with that, you jumped off of the cliff and hoped to make it into the water below without dying.

"(Y/N)!!" Hilton cried out. And with tears in his eyes, he looked down to see where you had ended up. But he couldn't find you. "And she loved me this entire time? I feel like a failure for not realising this sooner."

"Mr. Valentine! You are now under arrest!" A slightly pudgy officer was getting closer and closer to Hilton, determined to catch him. Hilton looked down the cliff and into the water, and then looked back at the police.

"Put your hands behind your head and kneel down!" Another officer yelled at Hilton as if he had just gone on a murder spree. Hilton slowly put his hands behind his head and knelt to the ground. His hands were shaking violently, and he didn't know what to do now without you around to influence his choices. When Hilton looked up at the police officers, he saw as one of them cracked open handcuffs and was about to place it around his wrists.

"I can't go on without (Y/n)," Hilton started.

"What?" The officer with the open cuffs paused for a moment, trying to understand what Hilton was saying.

"We were partners in crime. She was always the insane one doing all sorts of crazy stuff and was always getting us into sticky situations. And then there was me," Hilton softly chuckled, "I was the more careful one I suppose, and I always tried to talk (Y/n) out of doing those crazy things, and yet I somehow ended up going along with her."

"And your point is?" The officer questioned.

"We made a good team, and we had a good run," Hilton then completely disobeyed officer orders and stood up. "But it doesn't end here."

And then he too jumped off of the cliff into the depths of the ice cold river below, desperate to find you again.

A/n: Huh, kinda interesting doing something as weird as this eh? Hope you all liked it! :)
