The beginning of her being here

She was the wind. Often cold, often soft, often playful. She would often go unnoticed. That worked well for her, to my knowledge,
until someone- me- noticed the touch of breeze that hit my back, something so painfully obvious and yet so unmistakably missable.
She was the wind.

The first time I noticed that this girl existed was average, because honestly, it would be creepy otherwise. How could someone reply on such an unsteady subject such as fate?

She was sitting alone reading a library book in the library as someone would do, what is such a place for? I noticed her, that's all. Nothing extravagant. Nothing extreme.

The second time I noticed that this girl existed was when I saw her walking around the gym, our school gym, the one only the whole school knows about. I would usually be on the treadmill practicing for the next meet.
Athletics club member. Runner. Long run.

She would usually just look around before leaving abruptly, probably looking for someone, although I had never seen her with anyone else other than herself.

I tried not to pay too much attention to the girl, as I didn't know her and in reality, I didn't plan on knowing her...

However, once I notice her the third time I could no longer take my eyes off her.
I was in shock, awe.

Let me set the scene:
Rainy autumn day, the most casual for Britain obviously. Strong  rain, not soft. The kind of rain that hurt your head when you exposed yourself for too long, the kind of rain you ran away and hid from, that kind of weather.

Guess what? I still had no driving license at the time and so, I had to walk/run home. On my fast pace journey to my house, I noticed the same female who didn't seem affected by the rain at all...

She had an air bubble around  her almost acting as resistance, acting as an umbrella, against the rain.

She quickly whipped out her umbrella and raised it above her head, however, I could still see the space between the umbrella and the air space between the water droplets fall.

Hallucination.

I knew there was no other explanation other than my mid life crisis which didn't seem too realistic at aged 19.

She seemed to begin humming a tune, at this point I decided to slow down my pace and see what other sorcery she was up to. Luckily, she went the same way home as me. However, was she walking all the way to my house to execute my murder? l hope not, because then, I couldn't finish this story.

She hummed a tune that sounded quite familiar to a common lullaby, yet, this seemed to work some black magic as very quickly the clouds began to clear up and the rain speedily swept away.

I was shocked, awe.

I was about to have my heart drop out my backside and yet, luckily that didn't happen. Was it due to the black magic? Probably.

I was about to interact with some intergalactic being, some wizard, some witch, who knows?

All I know- is that I'm soon to do more so,
tune in next time.

-The average guy,
the one with zero sorcery skills.
