The guys were outside in front of the music hall, each of them eating their individual lunches. The twins were having their usual McDonalds, Terell had Popeyes, Jacob had Chick-fil-a, and Amin sat with his veggie burger, looking at his carnivorous friends in disgust.

"I still have no clue how you guys eat that garbage." He sighed, reaching for the ketchup to place beneath the top of his bun.

Terell was the first one to speak, his mouth full of fries, "I don't know how you eat that stuff." He looked at his friend burger, shaking his head. "That shit look like it stink, nigga."

Amin was the only one exclusively vegan in their circle. Growing up in a Muslim household, keeping pork out of his diet wasn't an issue. When he got to high school and started to study the rest of the food he was putting into his body, he made the switch instantly. What's not clutch about a healthy and long life?

"It actually smells just like a regular burger, and tastes just like it, if not better." He scoffed, taking a bite out of it and chewing. "Plus," he spoke after he finished, "This 'nasty shit'  is ensuring my very long life. Ya boy gonna live to see a hundred."

"Bullshit if I heard it." Terell spat, taking a swig of his drink.  "My grandma lived a very long life and a two piece with fries and a biscuit was her shit."

"How old was she when she died?" Amin asked.

"Ninety six."

"Impressive. Did she die naturally?"

"Nah," Terell replied with a bit of a sulk. "Heart attack."

"Huh," said Amin with a roll of his eyes. "Wonder what caused that."

"Now you leave my Gramma out of it, nigga." Terell got visibly annoyed as he finished his fries.

"If your Gramma left some meat out of her diet, maybe she'd still be alive."

"Watch your mouth, bruh." Ibrahim smacked Amin on the shoulder with a furrowed brow, giving him a knowing look. Terell's grandmother was the woman that raised him after his mother died when he was very young, and when she passed during his freshman year of college, he was heartbroken. The guys all seen him go through the toughest bout in his life, and out of common sense, no one throws nothing like that in no one's face.

"My bad, man."

Terell nodded swiftly, lifting up quietly to get rid of his trash. Ishmael and Jacob were having a conversation to the side, so they weren't really into the spat that just happened until Terell had gotten up.

"What happened with Rell?" Jacob rose his brow, Ishmael looking towards his twin older by two minutes. Ibrahim just shook his head.

"Don't matter. What ya'll niggas talking 'bout?"
