Truly man?

The air was cold. A frightening cold, like you've just been trapped in a freezer for just a few minutes.

The freezer would open and the cold air touched your skin like tiny little knives. Poking, trying to get in, trying to consume you with the frigid temperature they uphold. The room was normal, just like any normal room would look. It was off though, something didn't seem quite right.

I go to tap one of the many individuals standing in this very place. The floor was hard, creaky you could say but I didn't care to hear. They turn around. Oh the terror that struck through my body from my head to my toes. This thing was petrifying. It would compare to something you'd see in only the most horrifying dreams.

Their face was gashed into. Every knife strike was visible, gashes going deep. You could almost see into their soul, if you looked hard enough. You could see how ripped apart they looked, almost decaying. Flesh was hanging on by a thread, chunks taken out and missing, as if it were something valuable to hide.

The oozing cherry red blood coming out of this creature almost looked like candy. The teeth, there was no great way to describe this, it looked as if the Gums were carved out, one by one, until every last fang was gone. The eyes were dark, soul ripping, and the face was slim as if starved for days, weeks, maybe even months.

The bony figure was concerning. You could see every bone no matter how or where you looked. And then. They charged at me. Falling to the floor with such an impact.

My breath was short and heavy.
