Hi this is my first ever non fan fiction book so if it sucks that's why. Thanks for reading loves

Makayla

My feet are sopping wet as I run through the hallway, attempting to make it to class on time. I squeeze my binder to my chest as I smack into a solid figure. The familiar scent of wood and Old Spice deodorant hit my nose. Josh. Immediately, I scamper to my feet trying to run away. Before I can he's shoving me back to the ground. He gets right in my face.

"Watch where you're going bitch."

He spits at me and slaps me across the face. I scamper to my feet once he's gone. The tears sting my eyes, as I sulk into class avoiding eye contact with everyone.

The teacher who's name I never took the time to learn, hands me a packet and a detention slip. I sigh and start working away on the packet about the French Revolution. I finish quickly and turn it in. Josh stares me down from across the room.

I hide my face behind a book and pretend to read. I pull my phone out and check my messages, a message from a single mother with a small child who needs me to babysit because her teen son won't. I text her and tell her I'll be there at four.
I shake my head as I continue attempting to read until the end of class. As soon as the bell rings I dash to my second hour, choir. This class and my sixth hour are a break from Josh's tormenting.
The rest of the day blows by as I avoid Josh. At the end of the day I hear my name called out and I turn to find nothing as I begin to get lost in the crowd. I ignore it as I hear it again and again. Josh slips to the back of my mind as I walk home.

Joshua

My mom had already pissed me off. The poor girl whatever the hell her name is, was in the right place at the wrong time. I purposely slam into her. I resist the urge to apologize as I shove her back to the ground. Without thinking I get in her face.

"Watch where you're going bitch," I hiss before spitting in her direction.

Before turning and walking away from her, I slap her clean across the face. She then scampers away from me, rushing into our first hour. I make it on time, but she comes in late. The teacher sets the homework packet in front of her along with a small slip, which I presume is a detention. The girl speeds through the packet where as I take forever knowing I'm not gonna turn it in. She then reads avoiding my glare. I look away but she then regains my attention as I see her typing on her phone. She looks happy and in all honesty, beautiful.

She shakes her head and goes back to the book. The bell rings and I link with Cameron and Mikey, trying to find out her name.

Cameron says her name is Macey and Mikey says her name is Adalyn
. Neither of them seem fitting. So I ask more people. Eventually I find out her name is Makayla. She ducks into a crowd of people attempting to hide from me at the end of the day. She runs toward the door not looking back. I push through the crowd of people trying to catch up to her.
I try calling her name but fail. The words just won't come out. I sigh as I get lost in the crowd.
