Standing in the twilight , watching the nightfall,
I see the moon and a million stars crawl .
I glaze at the sky and wonder, where does the secret lie,
It's calm all-around , no rain and no thunder .
They say everything that has once lived, shall die .
But the moon and a million stars were an exception I wonder , why ?
The moon tells the stars , the stories of men who live and die , puts them to sleep and watches the time fly.
Another dawn , another day and the nightfalls,
I reach out for twilight and left the four walls.
This time I couldn't stop but Question ,
have you lived forever ?
He gave a sad answer to my wicked question , said yes !
His answer puzzled me and why not ?
The life of eternity is something to be sad or what !
Breaking the painful silence , the moon whispered,
It's the blessing turned in to the curse ,
His words flew like a sad verse .
Standing there for more , he added
Want to know why ? I nodded
I've watched the time fly like no one else ,
I've witnessed the smiles of people across the ages ,
I've seen the men's grief and sorrow ,
I've cried with the homeless children ,
I've faced the curfew with women ,
I was there when the buildings were attacked ,
I was there when the child was kidnapped and I heard him when he cried for help
I was there when a girl was raped , I was there watching her ,I heard her scream .
I was there when the soldiers were tortured , I was there when they didn't giveup on life ,
I've seen you smile and sob under the pillow
Because I've seen everything and couldn't do anything ,
It has left me scattered ,
I own no life only a million stars and a scar !
