Chapter 1

" Laura time to wake up!" I heard my little sister Jenny say.

"Ok ok I'm getting up." I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom that was connected to my room. After I showered I walked back into my room with just a towel wrapped around me. I start going through my closet to see what to wear. After I was dressed I went back to the bathroom to do the finish touches.

When I was finished getting ready I headed down stairs for breakfast.

"Hey mom."

"Hi hunny. Ready for you last year of high school?"

"Yeah I guess." I looked up at the clock to see I had 4 mins before I had to go pick up my best friend Angie.

"Alright mom I go to go."

"Ok see you later."

I got in my car and headed my way to Angie's. When I pulled up she was already waiting for me outside.

"Hey Ang."

"Hi. so did you hear about the new maths teacher?"

"No, what's the name?"

"Mr. Evans. Do you have him?"

"Yeah first period."

"You suck! I don't get him until next semester."

I pulled into the school parking lot and soon found a place to park. We headed inside to meet some of our other friends.

"Hey Laura!" Said my friend Haley.

"Hey! What classes do you have?"

"Science, art, math and English."

"Well that sucks, we gave no classes together."

"Umm... where did everyone go?" She asked.

I turned around and started to look around.

"What time is it?"

"Uhh.. 8:35."

"Shit! We're late for class! Got to go." And with that I headed the other way towards the math hall.

When I walked into the class room everyone just stared at me.

"Well well isn't nice of you to join us miss..."

"Brook."

"And why are late miss Brook?"

"I..uhh..didn't hear the bell go off."

"Well your 15 minutes late."

"Sorry."

"Sorry won't cut it. You have detention with me after school. Now go sit down." I headed over to the empty desk which by the way was in front of the teachers desk. What a great start to my first day back I thought.
