Chapter 1
Some people's mornings start when they hear the annoying ring of their alarm clock.
Or maybe if they're lucky enough, they wake up to the nice tweet tweet of the birds.
I, however have to wake up when my mom practically shakes me to death every damn morning.
She lives in constant fear that if I sleep too long, I might never wake up again.
I hate that I can't sleep in, but every time I open my eyes and see the relief in her face, I feel a lot less guilty about the bags under her eyes.
This morning however, I wake up,not because of mom, but because I felt freezing!
I immediately felt something was wrong.
Where's mom?
She's never late. I honestly can't remember waking up before her.
Aside from mom, there wasn't the usual sounds of traffic outside. I could usually hear at least one or two honks from pissed of drivers.
We lived it New York for God's sake!
But it was unusually quiet.
Ok ok calm down. Breathe. Just breathe. Bre- wait!
I can breathe!
